One of the reasons why i, while being a subscriber, haven‘t touched the Game for the last 2 Updates. I hate Rachel with all my Heart. She reminds me of this toxic relationship, you just can’t escape from.

She already alienated herself when she publicly called MC a rapist. Even if Nobody belived her, i lost every speck of interest for that character and just want her gone. There is not a single way for her to redeem herself.

If that character is forced on us after everything that happened,i‘m probably just going to cancel my sub and ignore it going forward.

While i love Cozy, i‘m simply not comfortable with Rachels character

Look, almost nobody really likes Rachel. In my eyes, she is an annoying schizo bitch, that doesn't even look pretty. But, redemption is a recurring theme in this VN. And Cosy didn't disappoint us so far. So, I can't really imagine how will he add Rachel to the main cast, and make us sympathize with her. But I'm willing to believe he can.

Hello everyone, obviously I found this game here on F95, I'm only at the part where Hannah is starting to work for the MC, man oh man what a gem this game is, I literally got choked up when the MC walked in on Lucy getting changed and she had the large bruise from her mother abusing her, jesus christ I felt my heart in my throat but holy shit when the MC took her in to protect her that's when I knew that I was hooked, Lucy was my favorite in the beginning but Victoria is starting to pass her, I never thought that I'd ever see her so lovey dovey and clingy, she is so freaking sweet, then we have my favorite type of woman, beautiful redheads, Hannah and Alison, all I can say is WOW, I kinda thought in the beginning Hannah and the MC would hook up but to now include Alison, she is the complete package, I know if MiltonPowers reads this he will agree that Alison and Hannah are smokin hot, the one and only thing that I don't like is not having a choice to decide what girl that you want to be involved with, Sarah for instance, I have no desire at all to even talk to her besides having to date her, believe me this isn't a game breaker because every other girl is absolutely stunning. I guess that's our punishment for have all these gorgeous women and have to be stuck with Sarah lol, anyway amazing job on this game so far dev, thank you

I think the issue for me is that Rachel just doesn't look or feel particularly feminine, I take that to be deliberate, and the hair is one aspect of that. The same hair on a different person might be fine, but on Rachel, I think it's too closely tied with her characterization to date.

Technically, no, she isn't. Cosy here is telling us a story, and she must have a big role in his plans to get to the main girl status. In other words, he most likely can't just kick her out without replacing her, or re-writing the story completely. All I'm saying is, he created something that we enjoy. So I don't get why people have so little trust in him.

I agree that Rachel is a character that easy to hate on because Cozy did a good job of writing her that way. She is written as selfish, self centered, manipulative and willing to trash any of the girls to prove she is right, which makes her arrogant. So far Cozy hasn't written the MC to be attracted to those character types in his LIs. The bigger the character flaws the bigger the redemption arc, I guess? Catherine and Rachel shouldn't be compared, I only do so to say that Catherine started out as an unlikable character and now she has been humbled/humanized through the course of a few updates.

Its not so much if Cozy can write a redemption arc for Rachel, its just that right now in the story she is the least deserving.

I just did another viewing before the update and Sarah also gets a lot of screen time where its just conversations with her and the MC. I didn't notice as much as with the other LIs. She is written to be kind and helpful on her terms so I understand why she is a favorite LI for many people. Also much of the initiation for the FF stuff is driven through Sarah's story line.

She's not my favorite and I could joke that i would put her just above Rachel but I know I would catch a lot of strays from Sarah stans, lol.

Yep, this one. I think it's one of the main reasons. Besides personal preferences of course. Her story gets kind of diluted by the whole FF ordeal.

Because your statement wasn't that she was too close for your tastes, it was that she was too close period.

Personally, I do wish she had a few more curves to her as well. I get a bit skeezy when I see girls in these games - especially ones with a school setting - who are short, petite and specifically meant to be called cute, so I totally understand where you're coming from. I think Sarah managed to avoid the pitfalls, and her size is less about making her loli bait and more about giving her a very obvious and easy to attack insecurity - it's a common trope in Japanese media specifically - that helps explain her behavior and makes it easy to get off on the wrong foot with her. She'd obviously be a much less interesting character without her prickly nature. But I do definitely understand being put off by just her appearance and wanting her to be more immediately discernable from that.

Because anime tropes dominate this genre and a lot of people can't distance themselves from it. Doesn't help she exemplifies them at the beginning.
Everybody here has their own things they like. Hell there were even a few people withe-knighting for Rachel not that long ago. And everybody is very vocal (myself included) about what they like and don't like. You get the rug munchers complaining every single page about how the MC isn't eating out his LIs, the regular "LIs doing shit between them is NTR/Gross" crowd and inevitably the "If it's not double DD's, it's pedo" crowd. You also have the "Why are you deluding my story with porn" snobs like me, pretty sure there was a couple of "where is my dommy mommy" guys around and other groups. Oh, and the "Can you get more boring then Misaki" crowd (myself included too). Aaaaand I forgot the "If the girls aren't degrading themselves every minute on the altar of the MC, it's femdom" crazies, who were calling the MC a simp, because he gave the gf limit thing.

Sarah triggers a lot of those groups - she is not really submissive, she is loud as fuck at the start, actually slapped the MC once, she is petite, sexually repressed, the slowest of all the LIs to jump on/accept the lewid shenanigans going on and is the only one actively ignoring the MC's wishes regularly (tho, it seems it's slowly turning in to a inside joke by now). So she catches a lot of stray bullets, when people discuss LI's.
Good thing she is both cute as fuck and Rachel exists, so there is relatively little traction at hating her.
