It's not their style. For that you have to look elsewhere. This is a detox of drama, tension, pain, etc...

Just relaxed clicking and reading, slice of life. Sure, it isn't for everyone.

Not everyone complains just to crap on them and for the memes... but in the hopes that they take some feedback and actually improve... as their stuff still got some potential and good aspects. In my case I like the game but I've seen enough lunches. And I'm only half joking about that. Basically because they do care... in a lot of cases involving games that are indeed way worse, nobody even cares to comment about them.

The reason we mock people for complaining on here is for 2 reasons.

1, this is the type of game they make and aren't interested in changing how they do things.

2, they don't come on these forums so it's pretty much like pissing in the wind. No matter how much you put out there, there's only you getting it.

I have to say, it's sometimes complicated to find a game (story, VN, whatever) that goes this far into the "Chill-Out". Most people that arrive here are somewhat used (addicted?) to getting their shots of Adrenaline by being shocked, scared, disgusted, etc... I can understand that they don't grasp what this group of authors are about.

What I can't understand, is that they resort to attacking what they fail to comprehend. This makes them look incredibly uneducated and uncivilized. Failing to understand something new, is an opportunity for growth, not a punching bag for your frustrations.

Sure, no one is forced to like this. But, also no one is forced to play it, I think...

Anyway, let me go back to replay this for the 6th time, I need to lower my blood pressure and this helps... a LOT.

You're not wrong. I like an occoasional AVN or anime that makes me happy because it is satisfying and well-written. Not sure either apply to Couples, though, really.

If a dev can't do either/both of those, and they refuse to add any "shocked, scared, disgusted, etc." to their game to make it interesting, I do think players have a right to expect 'at least mildly arousing' from an AVN.

So for me criticising the boring "lewd"-but-not-at-ALL-lewd scenes is fair game. The sex scenes in Couples are so robotic that having a blind grandfather read technical descriptions of intercourse from Gray's Anatomy would probably be more erotic. You can fuck up a lot of things as a dev, but if you have lousy lewd scenes you're going to get bad reviews.

Well, since I am neither the Dev, nor their PR people, critique away. I, as a player, find what content I get on this, enough for what I need it to.

You, well, you do as you see fit. Like it, love it, hate it, ignore it... whatever... The Dev doesn't care, I don't care, so, have at it... Just know, that some people will indeed judge you. So it's up to you how much that means to you.

Also, expectations are terrible things to have.

So this is a nice game, like the others from this Dev, but I'll admit this one felt more boring than the others, for the next game I'd really hope the Dev is going to take a more interesting theme, the medieval story was better than this, while it was similar in style it felt more flavorful, I think having some theme else than just some straight modern would have been better. So the next one would likely be nice if it were Scifi or Fantasy, and maybe the one afterward the other, and when it goes back to modern times down the line having something like a superhero story could be interesting.

I think they got the Troll suit from a knock-off of Wish. It's falling apart and it's too short on the legs and too long on the arms... wait... maybe he put it on upside down? I hope they didn't pay tariffs on it...that would be.............................. HILARIOUS.
