Is this one of those games that keeps introducing new characters so you have to play through no-sex blue balls hell over and over and over again and they come along basically as soon as you think you might get somewhere finally with one of the earlier characters but each girl basically gets ignored as soon as you get a little tease from them?
It did not start out that way, but it definitely seems to have been this for the last several updates.

I've only been playing this one for about a month but loved it so much and Suzu almost immediately became one of my all time favorite AVN girls. However, in this short time I already have a worry that the dev will just keep adding more and more girls and have it be another year or more before MC consummates his relationship with Suzu. So many of the original girls get so little time that it is frustrating. Last Dev report said another girl will be introduced soon. If you leave out the little cat there are 52 in the cast. I doubt all are romance options but still thats a lot.

I don't personally care for Kana myself but I love Miko, Yukari and several of the others and want more time with them. I know Suzu does get a lot of screen time and its great but also parts can be frustrating as important answers get teased more than once and nothing.

Don't wish to be so negative as I really like the MC, the story, and so many of the characters. I hope I am wrong and that we will get more content with the original girls soon.

Side notes:
I agree with whoever said earlier about Machi. Her long white hair was so much prettier.
Don't think Miri should be under miscellaneous. Poor Miri, don't think MC even called her the day after.
If the principal comes back on day 13-14, I feel that will also be a long time before we get answers from her, if she even gives them.

She likely will give answers.

Just not to the questions MC asks ...

She basically "fled to search for answers" herself i.e. when she returns she will likely "suggest" to MC that he fucks Suzu as soon, often and hard as possible with the reasoning that she found some not-so-recent texts about a vampire marriage between a vampire and a human which "suggests" that both their life is on a timer.
For instance Suzu is addicted to MC because of the blood and now only his sperm can prevent her from dying and MC is telepathically linked i.e. if Suzu dies he dies or some BS reason like that.

Remember when Miko seemed like the special one with both her and the MC feeling strange compulsions? I like Suzu but she seems to have stolen Miko's role lol.

I'm convinced the MC will never actually have sex with any of the main love interests, especially considering Miri is now relegated to the "Misc." gallery screen.

Don't forget that it's possible to levy criticism without it being inherently negative. A lot of criticisms for this game come from the fact that many of us enjoy it so far, have high hopes for it, and want it to meet those high hopes. The criticisms about the cast size, simultaneous glacial and rushed pace, and cliffhangers are all acceptable criticisms to have for something that you can still like and not be negative about!

This is just an observation since I don't make AVN's, but it seems like the number of images per update are a quarter to quite a few other games that I play. Some of my regular games that I play quite often average 600 to 800 images per update. Maybe using HS or Koikatsu to render images is more labor intensive than Daz. It's still overall a great game compared to quite a few that I've played.

I've heard custom posing is harder in studio neo and charastudio than it is in daz but you have soooooooooooo many free assets and premade scenes that all you need to do is insert your own characters into. Even then after posing we're talking a difference of seconds to make a render in Illusion versus minutes to sometimes even hours for daz. I can get a high quality 4k render from HS2 in probably 5-10 seconds on a computer that probably wouldn't even have enough vram to get a 4k render at all in daz.

Pretty sure the issue is that the dev doesn't make enough to quit their day job and they still wanna make sure they're doing monthly updates for maximum exposure.
Sure there's dudes like Moonbox who's putting out about 600 renders every 2 weeks but he's a freak of nature, probably the most consistent and reliable dev on this site.
For monthly updates on a game that's a side job Vertigo does alright. I'd like updates to be longer myself but it's pretty understandable how much he's putting out with his current support.

True. I'm sure it's not easy trying to make a game that's well known enough to make a decent living from it. As for Daz, I have a pretty good setup that I could probably make some 4K renders with it. I'm still learning all the ins and outs with it though. Once I start working again, I will upgrade my RAM to 64GB. Running a Ryzen 7 8 core processor with a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU.

I'm just waiting for the storylines to get to the point with the MC having sex with most of them. I understand the slow burn of building up the relationships and all that. One game I played had a sex scene within the first 5 minutes. I almost felt I was just watching regular porn with no buildup of any type.

So we got a Brewfest escapee who wants to be a table now...

I personally don't have any furniture based fetishes and I don't want any I'm glad we can choose to avoid engaging that content. The cast is getting a bit too large to keep up with this every few updates, it's getting to the point that I'm starting to forget stuff that happened previously. Also not sure how to feel about this whole vessel of god thing the old man was yelling about I like this game because it wasn't going all out with the chosen one trope...

Since the existing PDF walkthrough/guide is no longer being updated, I thought I'd try making one myself. Besides saying what choices do, it points out hamsters and other things that unlock in the galleries. It also contains a list of characters at the end for those (like me) who sometimes forget who everybody is. May contain errors; updating not guaranteed. Hopefully someone will find it helpful.

3rd edition, for game version 0.33.1.

I asked this exact question in another thread, so I feel silly, but still. What engine is this made in? It looks like one of those japanese "not actually a game, but rather an engine with a small demo game inside". But, it looks way better than the ones I'm familiar with. Am I wrong?

It's Renpy. You can find it with a quick google search. The models I believe are all from Koikatsu or Koikatsu Sunshine using mods to get the images.

I meant things like Koikatsu. I'm very bad with names. But still, I'm guessing this is heavily modded, no? Most Koikatsu games look almost nothing like this.

I say almost because there's enough resemblance that I noticed it was probably one of them (mostly body proportions and anatomy, it has a rather unique style)

every engine used for rendering (most common - DAZ, HS/HS2, Koikatsu, VAM, TK17) have huge variation in quality depending on many factors - assets used, lighting settings, additional visual and processing effects, and so on...
Koikatsu, what this VN uses, is no exception to the rule and considered this huge variation - i wouldn't say most games are nothing like this, because they are all over the place, including those looking close enough visually, here are just few examples - Dissonance, Another World, Unto Starlight

Love this game, I don't normally enjoy slow burn games like this one is, but the story is so good that I don't mind it being slow burn. Can't wait for this months update to come out.

I like slow burn games as long as they have a good story and a major + if it has romance in it. But also if that slow burn eventually goes away and gives of a lot of sex scenes after the slow burn. Cause if i wanted a story without much sex i would watch anime lol. Any way good story so far i'm only on day 2.

And Koikatsu made games can look extremely unique while good in their own specific ways, Dungeon days with some great designs and monster girls, Out of Touch with the beautiful lights and unique aesthetic or Something Better with it's great animations and likeable characters.
