not just a nothing burger, a 5 month long nothing burger
With the pace things are going, we won't be seeing half the things even mentioned in this update, let alone things previously set up, for the next 2+ years. Drip feeding content is real. At least try to finish a whole day in-game each update instead of stopping midway through. We'd be lucky to even get through 1 day in-game within a year, that's wild to think about. That's Dragon Ball pacing.

OLDER POST:

Crimson High v0.44 Part 1 Release Schedule

November 26

Howdy, Patrons (and patrons to be)!
After giving it a few days of thought, I've decided to actually go with the split. My reasons for that being that there are virtually no downsides to this route, since everyone who wants to play the full thing can still do so by just waiting for the Part 2 release (since there'll be virtually no difference aside from maybe improved quality due to my improved mental state), while anyone who'd rather not wait can play Part 1 early.

Additionally, it takes a lot of pressure off me and my conscience, since I've been feeling an increased need to hurry and get this update done in recent weeks. (And on top of that, I think I'm getting a cold (thanks, winter), so taking a couple days off will be much easier once Part 1 is out, knowing that y'all have had your fix for the moment.)

Some of you, both here and on the Discord, have brought up the concern that the update's quality may suffer from splitting it, but I can assure you that that's not the case. There is a perfect spot for a cut pretty much smack-dab in the middle of the update (including a cliffhanger that I didn't change anything about to make the split work; it was just there for the taking) and the various types of scenes (H-scenes, romantic stuff, lore, etc.) are spread nicely across both parts, so that there is no imbalance between them.

And speaking of Part 2:
It shouldn't take too long after Part 1 has been released to get it out, too, though I'm not giving any estimates for a release date yet. I've learned my lesson.

Anyway. The T2 release for Part 1 will be at some point on Saturday.
Here's the full release schedule:
  • Tier 2 (Mythical Being, Messenger, Sentinel, SECSI, Mango Priestess, Warden, and all old T2 tiers):
    29/11/2025
  • Tier 1 (Seeker, Fledgling, and all old T1 tiers):
    06/12/2025
  • Tier 0 (Public):
    13/12/2025
(Dates in DD/MM/YYYY format)
That's it from me again. Have a nice [enter time of day] everyone!
Thanks for being awesome!
CHeers!

I'm tried, boss. After playing this update I remembered, why I didn't want to subscribe to this devs Patreon or whatever. Another empty update, no new information, no answers, just empty promises and "Just wait for a few more days". And another annoying and pointless cliffhanger. Splitting this update into two separate updates was a mistake. Time to drop this game for a few years, maybe then there will be something new.

The usual multiple sentences describing mundane actions to irrelevant detail... fluffy conversations... and the usual cliffhanger... Vertigo needs an editor and a firm deadline, to light a fire under his ass and to tighten things up, this slow-ass pace is tedious...

And 4 (4?) new characters! I really hope they will not get their own backstory

The issue is 99% of the game is making plans to do something. And then talking about doing the thing. And then texting girls to make more plans to do things.
Don't forget once the thing is finally being done it's interrupted partway by something else and is left half done... most likely forever...

Honestly, i dont mind the pacing of the Game - its Story heavy for sure but thats a good Thing in my opinion.
There are a lot of Games that run from one Penetration to the next with a Story not even worth a Porn Concept - so is this Game slow? Yes. Is the Story good? Yes. Is it - in my opinion - worth the Build Up? Also Yes.

I like the Characters, i like the Story and if someone read the Lord of the Rings Books - thats a slow pacing.

You call this game story heavy? With each new update there's almost nothing happens. The last significant thing that happened was an accident with Suzu and the talk with Uraha. How many months ago was it? I know that it was barely a week in the game, but when there's such a big difference in pacing between the game and real life, it doesn't make the game better.

Spoiler for the next update, shh...

But seriously, we won't be getting half the shit mentioned for the next couple of years at this pace.

This update had the perfect opportunity to have some lewds of the girls present in the hot spring scene, but nope they were wearing towels. Don't know why some of these AVNs go the classic censored anime fanservice route in these types of scenes.

Especially When you know you won't be getting any sex scenes with Kuro and the orange haired girl for quite a while, probably never even, so at least if there were a lewd scene it would tide us over.

Minus the sex scene with one of Kuro's other girls. But when the scene was over, I was like that's it?

For such a long delay between updates I really expected more content. While there were 'some' answers and progress and a new setting the delay was still kind of pronounced. The trust me, more coming in time was almost meta or 4th wall breaking in a way. Not exactly thrilled with the, yeah, you can safely gave sex with vampires because you're special... but hold off of the red eye ones which are like half your potential harem including the ones you brought with you which seem to really be expecting it...

Crimson High v0.45 - Dev Log #1

G'day everyone!

Me again with another dev log, this time it's really only going to be a short one. I think.

As you've probably already noticed, this log's title mentions v0.45 and not v0.44 part 2. Now, you might be wondering why that is. Or maybe not, I dunno. But anyway, it's the same update (i.e. part 2) but for organizational purposes, I'm just going to call it v0.45. Not really much to it.

------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, let's talk about the next update, then. Some of you may have already read it on the Discord, but the update isn't going to come out before the holidays anymore. In fact, I've decided to not work on it at all before the holidays. Instead, I'm taking the rest of the month off for some solid R&R - cause let me tell you, that's sorely needed. (It's also why this dev log doesn't have a different title image, even though it's technically about a new update. I hope you don't mind!)

Near the end of making v0.44 (part 1) I've noticed some effects that I really didn't like. Most of them stress- and tension-related. And since deciding to postpone the update until after the holidays, I've already seen some big improvements with these things. I think the (self-made) pressure of wanting to get the update done and done well got to me more than I expected, which, to me, is just another reason to never do a big update like this again. So, yeah, come the new year, we'll finish the trip to Kuro's estate, then go back to the usual update length and rhythm. If I'll do any experiments with update length again (and that's a big 'if'), they'll go in the opposite direction: smaller but more frequent updates. But again, that's a big 'if'.

------------------------------------------------------------

As for the update v0.44 itself, I'm pretty happy about how it was received by most of you. The feedback I get from all of y'all goes a long way in keeping me motivated and on track, so thank you for that, everyone. I appreciate all of you a lot.

------------------------------------------------------------

And that's pretty much it for this Dev Log again. Like I said, it's going to be a short one. My main goal was to let you all know about the update.
As usual, chuck your comments/feedback into the comment section below, or onto the .

Next post I'll make on here will most likely be the release schedule. Or maybe another dev log early in the new year? We'll see!

Until then, and with my utmost appreciation for all your support, my beloved patron, I bid you farewell.

Cheers!
