Just played through v0.17, and I have to say this game is a masterpiece. I came in with low expectations because I hate RPGMaker with a burning passion, but the writing is solid and funny. Damn shame this game didn't stick with 3D, because Beatrice is an actual goddess and what got me to play this game in the first place.
So you don't like the 2D art? Or just don't really like 2D art in general? There's definitely no way for me to pick the 3D version back up at this point, unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed everything else though!
One of the best rpgs imo just need more CGs.
I keep commissioning them! And if you aren't aware, the sixth dungeon has the most art in the game by far, if you want to know where to look for it. Happy to hear you're enjoying the game!

Uhh thats not true (for the previews that is). Like if the 3D version are not in the main game anymore just in the old rendered version we can remove those.
The easiest would be make a zip with up to 27 new previews + a new cover if you want. Upload it to Mega and link it here + ping me and I'll update the OP.
Alrighty, here's the mega zip with the new artwork. I adjusted the filenames of a few so they'd be in the order I'd like them. The current cover art is good, so no need to replace that. Thanks again!

Yeah I usually don't play 2D games. Not because I dislike 2D art, but because I'm not nearly as attracted to 2D women as I am to 3D women. Like you couldn't convince me 2D Beatrice is more beautiful and alluring than 3D Beatrice. Still I respect your decision and will stick around for future updates because I enjoyed the game.

The game was developed for several years completely text-only. And while I currently commission artwork from two artists constantly, I still write scenes faster than they make art. Because of both of those things, many scenes are still text-only. Last I checked there were somewhere north of 60 CG sets in the game? But there's at least 200 scenes, so you'll very frequently encounter text-only scenes. There is a scene reviewer in town, which is only for scenes with art. Each dungeon unlocks after it is finished, while town events unlock by being viewed. Also, I will note that the art/scene ratio is the highest (by quite a bit) in the sixth dungeon. So you could try using the dungeon skip option to go there if you find there isn't enough art for your tastes elsewhere.

I doubt there's many people trying to run this on Linux, but FYI - it's broken on current distros. It depends on GConf2 which has been deprecated from GNOME and removed from most package repositories at this point. People are better off running the Windows version with Proton.

There was a bug with Daddy's chastity variable, basically even after finishing the event, it made your paperdoll show the cage. If you apply patch 0.55.14, it should fix this. (You may need to open and close the menu after loading in with the patch to update it.)

rpgmaker mv uses nwjs as a backend. but the version it comes with is very outdated, and there's been a lot of performance improvements since then, too. iirc, packing up the runtime from plus `www` folder plus `package.json` should work on latest distros

When I deploy for Linux, I always take the latest 64 bit Linux download from there, unzip it, then copy and paste it's contents into the Linux game folder. Is that what you mean when you mention packing up the runtime, or is that something different?

uhh, right now in the linux version - there's `Game` and `Game.desktop` files, which are an ancient version of nwjs in form of a single executable and a pretty link to it, respectively. they don't work. then there's all those `nw`, `nw.pak`, `nw_100_percent.pak`, `nw_200_percent.pak` and so on, which collectively are a slightly newer nwjs version but still quite dated and fail to launch on some systems, although for a different reason. nwjs.io has up-to-date versions of those files, and those do run well when extracting and overwriting all files in the game folder. then there's a problem with the current archive format, because none of the files above have correct executable permissions set. maybe 7z instead of zip would fix that, idk, deleted windows after win8.

Extremely pleasantly surprised by this game, I was worried when I saw the bartender it was gonna be super yaoi/bara coded all the time but it is definitely right up my alley and I like the writing. Especially how verbose the sex scenes are, too many games just gloss over stuff making it feel kinda flat. (Too many games try to rely on just having art and end up having too few scenes and they're boring to read through.) Watching this with interest.

Ah, I think I originally forgot to update the nw.js there, and I hadn't fixed it before I had the thread updated. The (hopefully) properly updated version has recent versions of 'nw', `nw_100_percent.pak`, `nw_200_percent.pak, and 'resources.pak'. It doesn't seem to update the 'nw.pak' file. As for executable permissions, it was my understanding that unknown programs and the like always have to have those turned on as a safety precaution on Linux. I don't think there's a way for me to do it that keeps them executable when they are downloaded.
This is the updated Linux version, for anyone who needs it:

God dam, didn't expect to like this game as much as I do. Kinda hits all the kinks. Of course, so far in my playthrough, my character is an absolute slut lol. Like others said, only downside so far is lack of art for many scenes and sometimes the art doesn't match. For example, scene where MC gets pegged by the beatrice. Text says its an average size strap on, but what you see is an absolute bitch breaker purple strap on lol. Of course, getting enough art to match this games content would be difficult, and the amount of variables to the mc's body would also pose an issue. 5 out 5 for me though, game is great.

Some people nay say the portal method, but honestly I kind of prefer it. Less walking around and more into the meat and potatoes of the game itself.

Sierro (the artist who drew the Beatrice scene), likes things big. I often have to request penis reduction surgery after seeing the initial sketch. I went back to check the details on that commission, and I did request an average sized dildo, but I didn't catch the fact that Sieroo made it fucking thicc, lol. And yeah, adding in different body sizes is a nightmare, and would greatly slow how fast I can commission art.

As for the portal method, I understand people wishing the town was more interesting to explore, thus making walking around to locations actually a thing worth doing. The game was initially set up in Twine (aka text-based), so you just clicked on the location you wanted to go to, which meant events on the way didn't need to happen. I've added some town events since, but mostly there's not much reason to wander around, hence the portals. Glad to hear you've been enjoying the game!

As fdiscodude said, there's a Minotaur enemy (the boss of the fourth dungeon), if you count that. Additionally, in the fifth dungeon you can encounter a wolf girl, and I'm pretty sure the fight is set up with a knotting mechanic where as soon as she gets it in, you instantly lose. But I don't know if you'd really consider a wolf girl to be beast content. There's definitely nothing that is straight up an animal. The Minotaur is as close as it gets.
