You need to run CrossingKnightmare.exe, must have got renamed at some point. Game runs fine on my win10 system, it must be a system specific issue of some kind. As supreme evil said it's kirikiri so you could try troubleshooting the error in kirikiri engine games in general.

It seemed like there was still a process running from the first attempt launching. But it still only works with locale emulator for me. Launching the game without it results in said ANSI/Unicode error message box. Those are the only two "words" in latin letters in it. So i cannot say more. But anyways - got it running now.

I managed to run the game without Locale emulator even, as the game folder doesn't contain jpn hieroglyphs and the game itself doesn't require Japanese locale.

Might want to add the transformation tag, bodymod seems to be a major theme in the game, breast expansion and female>futa are both in screens.

Holy shit, the time limit on this is so tight, especially on the fourth quest, and with the enemy RNG with the random curse crits makes this really annoying to play.

After years of being teased, it's finally here!
Update 1: Just as brutally difficult as it was in Japanese. Hopefully there's a compatible full save released at some point. Also, as I was worried, this is not the complete version, just the base game.
Update 2: I have the old, 100% save from Sagaoz, and it seems to work. It obviously shouldn't... but it looks like it does.
