just wondering, is chapter 2 also a stand alone?
cause I have some progress from ch 1 and I would like to continue where I left off, but do I need to download ch1 and ch 2 or just ch 2?

"Chapter 2" is a stand alone
"11.1" combines Chapter 1&2 but you miss the final scenes (see my post a few messages back)
"11.2" combines Chapter 1&2 in total

I hate to criticize one of my favorite developers, but I have to agree with you that it's a bit of a disappointment, for two months of waiting. Though I do take into account that the developer obviously spend quite a bit of time and effort into creating the whole new office environment and reworking the GUI. What makes the whole thing difficult for me is that when the delay was announced in November (or late October I'm not exactly sure) it was said that this was gonna be a 'big' update. Something which most of us (myself included) probably interpreted as meaning a lot of new quests/sexual content.
CMA is not a linear visual novel where you just add a few porn scenes every month. It is a complex game and it is growing with every update and getting more complex. TheGary usually adds a lot content with each update, especially high quality graphics. (Animations still have room to improve.) If this update has only a few new scenes then it is because a lot of effort must have went into reworking the existing code to :
- fix bugs
- split the available content into 3 stand alone chapters
- add new GUI
- enable roll back
- add the new tracking system
etc.

I suppose that some effort also already went into new office content which is not finished and comes with the next update.

If you remember CMA started about 1 year ago and for a single developer creating a game like CMA with all the current content in maybe 15 months is quite extra-ordinary. You have to evaluate the complete project, not only the visible output of the last 2 months.

The new structure of the content is a different point. Creating content which is split into different paths which players can not access in a single playthrough is new and does not fit the game design philosophy so far that there are no bad choices and the player can see 100% content in one playthrough. This also reduces the number of visible scenes, so current content seems to be smaller than it really is. (Example : There is a scene when agreeing to play with handcuffs, but since this turns out to be a bad choice, nobody will choose this path or only to have a small glimpse.)

Indeed, all the locations are created, as are the other 3 NPCs (through a Admiral/Vice Admiral brainstorm with the Dev, quite an interesting moment we had that day). The game will undoubtedly gain up speed again from now on, with the "drawback" of the path thing, where you don't see all contend any more as you did before

Things are moving along well for the MC lately. Maybe a huge fuck-up by MC in the office can take the game into an interesting direction and bring more opportunities to manipulate characters into erotic scenarios.

I’m loving the game but the branching paths TheGary has started in chapter 3 prompts a question. While I totally get why we are going to stand alone chapters (no monster file) Does TheGary plan to finish the game in this chapter or will he have to make multiple versions of Chapter 4 etc.? Or alternatively are these really not branching paths just some content that will remain hidden if you make alternative choices? OK I get it I’m spending too much time thinking about this game. :)
