Chronicles of Leridia? Not sure if we played the same game or not but I think CoL was very story rich. I don't need something to be very or over complicated but I think CoL really was an amazing game with a really good balance of H-scenes and story. It's actually one of the reasons why I am so interested in Cyberslayers; not because the protagonist is appealing to me but because I have played an game from Maelion, that I really liked it, and am very interested in what they create next

Secondly I wouldn't call it story rich game, it's just a normal fantasy about a special one who saves the world. I'm not saying it's bad because anyone can enjoy cliches especially if it's hentai. But it clearly didn't have character development or a really engaging story, which isn't a bad thing either because the game clearly didn't promote itself as a game with a rich story.
Everyone's opinions and tastes vary but to deny that in games like this the story plays in the background is just silly. Just look at the poster of the game, based on it you think that most people will go to play this game because of the plot?
Let's be honest with each other in each new game post you can see a large number of people who will ask about the full game saves and in fact not even an hour has passed. Just saying.
I'm not trying to criticize the game or hate it I just politely asked the person who created this project what amount of work has been done. Is it worth wasting time on this or wait another half year.
But as usual oversensitive people made a big drama out of an ordinary question.

Personally the story of CoL isn't really what draws me in, it's certainly good enough to make me understand why exactly i'm going around this world, and what the stakes are. But i'd say the strength lies in the choices that i am able to make, and the elements of player "corruption" or however you'd like to term it. When playing the game i don't pick choices so that i can see as much of the CG as possible, i pick the choices that help me shape Sylia's personality, the sexual encounters, and the way other characters treat her, to my liking.

Not all that many games have branching paths where the content of the sexual encounters vary depending on choices you've made, or where you get to impact how the scene itself turns out after it has already begun. To me these kind of things are exactly why i use this site and play these kind of games in the first place, i don't come here looking for a game where i can experience a great story, nor a game that just has a bunch of really good art/animations to look at. Instead i am here for the ability to make choices in a sexual scenario and have them matter in the context of the game.

CoL would fall apart without a story, because there wouldn't be any context for all the events which are the actual reason for why i'm here. So while the story isn't necessarily some grand work of art, it is quite important, and takes time and effort to put in, which i personally appreciate a whole lot.

The art and story in the game isn't the best on this site, but the roleplaying aspect is quite stellar in my opinion. Of course my opinion of this is quite heavily influenced by the fact that this game strikes a lot of my personal tastes, and therefore i'd probably rate it higher than someone who isn't necessarily that much into female protagonist games which mostly focuses on the player being made to be/choosing to be submissive. And no game that tries to cater to everyone's preferences has any likelihood of actually being good.

The game knows what it wants to be, and personally i think it does it well.

Sigh... For Christ sake. I never said this game shouldn't have a story or not have a story at all. I only said that in this game the story is not the main element at all. There is a difference, I think.
But why even bother to read about what other people write if you can make your own conclusions, right?

I think we should come back to Cyberslayers and the fact that the public release is coming soon for everybody to have a better opinion on 0.2
It has a lot more content than 0.1 and in my opinion it is the version you should play to know if you're going on this adventure with us or not (saying that to everybody).

First of all, calling everyone who disagrees with you oversensitive is just a poor faith move because you can't be arsed defending your stupid statements.

Secondly, no you didn't just ask an ordinary question. You also made a bunch of sweeping generalisations about both why people play h-games in general as well as this one in particular. You can't seriously be surprised that when you make broad statements on others behalf that they would sometimes disagree because your statement doesn't apply to them. You could of made your request for a number of h-scenes to be included in the change logs and it would have been perfectly fine. Instead you went out of your way to make it sound as though all the other content in an update were irrelevant and that the h-scene number is all we would be concerned with. Turns out you were wrong and your response was to call everyone else oversensitive because apparently the idea that you making stupid statements about what an entire community is concerned with might be your fault has apparently never occurred to you.

Honestly while I don't disagree with the idea of having a h-scene count added to changelogs. Constantly doubling down on the idea that the people who are just here to see a bunch of H-scenes with no regard to gameplay is just weird however, we are literally here saying that we care about either the gameplay, story or both and you are relying on whataboutisms involving people in other game threads. Yes with every game there are people asking about full saves. Can't say I understand those people given there is plenty of online porn galleries that fulfil there needs. But these people don't represent the whole community on the site so you can't generalise there opinions onto everyone else.

I don't want to offend anyone, but I think you overestimate this kind of games. No one follows these kinds of projects because of the story or character development. They're a prelude to the main content, which is hentai. For example your previous project didn't have a good story or character development. It was cliche upon cliche and there is nothing wrong with that because games like that aren't made for interesting story twists. If I want a story and a hentai, I'll run a jp visual novel.

Seems a bit of a weird take. First you say that no one follows these kinds of projects because of the story, but then you say if you want story and a hentai you'll play a jp visual novel. But at the end of the day they're both hentai games and just because CoL wasn't exactly amazing in the story department it doesn't mean that Maelion can't try and push himself to fix that with his new game, if that's what he wants. I can't imagine something more demoralizing than being told a certain aspect of your game that you put work into sucks and that you can't compare to the big boys in the scene.

Jump the gun? I guess you use this idiom wrongly, but whatever. You also can read my first reply to you and find out that it was written in positive and friendly manner.
But I understand now, we are bunch of oversensitive barbarians who don't understand how rude it was for us to prove your broad assumptions were wrong. You better not follow our bad example and stop with this defensive sarcasm, or someone may think that you are oversensitive yourself and just projecting to opponents... Which of cause is not true.

The 0.2 offers this:

-About 3 hours of gameplay mixing rpg elements, point and click and hentai content
-Dialogue and skills choices allowing a real replayability
- About 1500 cgs
- More than 45 animations
- Hundreds of lines of dialogue
- Important work on visual, sound and musical details
- Two pieces of music of my own composition
- Introducing A collecting cards system
- Introducing an ingame email system
- Hentai scenes from teasing to hardcore with different outcomes depending on your choices

It's also a universe with the feeling of Cyberpunk, beyond an erotic game. The serious tone of a world in perdition is next to humor and eroticism.
Those who like the hentai side can be reassured, it is present throughout the three hours with an evolution of possible corruption for the heroines.
The heritage of Leridia is also present, better integrated and more fun: the pentagrams, the pure/deviant orientations and the same kind of feeling.
You will play Aline but also Kassiah.
The combat mode is also introduced with Kassiah and a part where you will play her as a Slayer.
So there is a lot to do in this version !
All the bases are ready for the opening of a world that will be more open in 0.3.

Yay!!!! I have been looking forward to this since my first time trying it. Soo much potential, i'm hoping that i'll be able to make a review later for whats currently in the game. Unfortunately I will not be able to play it just yet because I am a nub that doesnt pay for extra mega features lol. So i must wait for a Nopy upload.

Still playing through the update, but having reached the revamped version of the Kassiah part from the demo. Big thanks to Maelion for including the option to skip defeat scenes we have already seen. That was something that was brought up during the demo for if we were going to be fighting the same enemy multiple times due to the rng nature of the combat so seeing it implemented is a relief especially with how long the defeat scenes can be.
