You can escort them there, but if they want to go off on their own it's not your job to follow them around like a dog on a leash. I don't know where your from but where I'm from people broke off from the group to go do their own things all the time.

A mom finding a new partner is not a back stab, it's a lack of maturity in the child, which is only understandable to a certain age. Anyone under 13-14 yea I can understand, that's a child still dependent on their mother. 15-18, yea that's a grey area as those are ages where the child actually should be fighting for their own independence from their mother. 21+ outside of a mental issue, there is no excuse. You should know and understand that both parents are grown and can make their own decisions regardless of whether or not you like them. Which is why majority of NTR for the most part literally don't work and most are ineffective unless they have more to them.
