I'm personally okay with other artists so long as the guy would actually give real proof of progress. He did share some tech updates but I think that hardly qualifies as progress.

Would doing small tidbits every now and then hurt? Stardew developer who also works primarily alone basically dropped spoiler free updates every now and then while working on another game. Don't see why this adult game here couldn't get the same treatment unless the guy was legit shirking the updates.

Two ways to go about this:



A) the game has plenty of content, playtime, lewdness, porn - go for it. You MUST PLAY it, now.

Especially since nobody knows when or if there will be an update. Because the last update was something like 1-2 years ago, and that one only removed a good chunk of content, and replaced the Melissa / Mother story with a slightly altered one. And that update already took about a year.

So you're not gaining anything by waiting for the next update. Except growing some extra grey hair, perhaps.



B) there might be an update soon™ - DO NOT play this game under any circumstances.

Because most likely the old savegames won't work, there may be content removed and/or relationships and story settings changed. And you'd feel robbed of your time and of the lost content.

After all, the game is supposed to be sold on steam, so the whole teen / high school setting is an absolute no-go for steam. Also if the lidless eye of Patreon ever falls onto the game, it will be removed for incest immediately.




Take your pick.

My saves aren't compatible with 0.6.5, and honestly, with the feedback on this thread, I'm not too jazzed on playing the game over again until they rework the rework (lol). However, Kensis has posted a 100% save + Gallery, so if you are looking for that check out his post and give him a like, quoted below.

Edit: These saves are not compatible with 0.6 (to my chagrin). I have no current plans to play through the entire game again as of today, but that may change. I'll update this post with the 0.6 saves if I do. I also don't believe a save exists that starts with everything from 0.5.7 completed, but if one does please let me know.

Alright, finally finished this version, was pretty fun. Actually enjoy playing this as a game rather than just for the sex scenes (a controller/gamepad helps a ton).

Here's all my 0.5.7 save files and my 100% save with 59 Gallery images, all trading cards, all avatar viewers, and no cheats used (also all box puzzles solved). I created a save before every sex/lewd scene plus any other scenes/secret areas/story points I felt were important, and organized them into save sets. In this zip there are 4 save sets and a total of 115 saves.

To use the saves:

1. Navigate to the save directory (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Skullgear\Dandy Boy Adventures on windows, will need to have "see hidden files" enabled)
2. Make a backup of all the the files in here (these Dandy_#.bin are your saves, you can just put a folder in the directory and copy them to there. dandy_gallery.bin is the gallery save)
3. extract the zip into this directory, you should see for folders named save set # and SaveGuide.txt
4. Consult SaveGuide.txt to find the scene/save you are looking for (100% save is the last save in save set #4)
5. Once you have found the scene, copy the correct save set # saves into the main save directory (where your saves were before) - don't cut, you want to preserve the saves in their folder
6. Load up the game, the game should recognize the saves and run
7. If you want to switch save sets, just copy the saves from a different save set folder and paste them over the previous saves in the main gallery - easy

This way the saves can be used as a pseudo-gallery, since the game doesn't have one. I'm also including an Info text document that I used to help me get 100% and find all the secrets in the game. I took all the useful posts and info I found on this forum and pasted it into this doc, then updated the info and added notes as I found out more. It isn't pretty, but you may find it helpful.

Uuh i don't remember all the details. That was 2-3 years ago. We're talking "zenith of Covid pandemic" long ago.


Basically, the story with the sister had much more content, including a threesome with her black-haired cutie friend.

The story with the mother was definitely re-written, the sex scene(s) replaced. And i believe it was for the worse. At least, unnecessary.



Would take days to re-play the old version, so i'm just going with the rather vague memory.

it replaced very iconic art with patreon friendly art which while the new art could have been just as good, it just aint. the old one was really REALLY good. also for some reason they keep changing the hair colors.

Also, the MC now has brown hair? I'd actually prefer that, the neon-pink haircolor for the family really bothered me.

If you'd assume that the game is perhaps 10% completed as of 0.6.5, and it has been in development since at least 2018 (six frikkin' years!), you can extrapolate the possible time until completion.

At the current pace, we are looking at one of these two options:


A) The game will be hastily wrapped up in the next 1-2 years for a quick cash on Steam (before it gets removed there)

B) The game will take between 25 and 50 more years to complete
