Tbh, even if I could, I have no faith in them to "support" their new game.

Now apparently they were using the patreon money as living expenses, which is whatever, but regardless they were getting money and they did nothing to actively develop a game their patrons were giving them money for. Most of the dev I've seen were visual changes like improving the rendering engine, which nobody quite asked for but whatever.

I somehow doubt that the sales money for the new game will go back into DBA. I kind of doubt money was ever an issue with DBA's dev. The game might have one of the weirdest development I've seen for any game on here which is saying something.

And I'd love to be wrong but there really is some fishy bullshit going on with them.

Has anyone tried to mod this game before? I'm considering giving it a try so any information from other attempts at this would be welcomed.

What exactly do people use to extract the graphics from the game? Considering we have a few rips already.

Not 100% sure as the files themselves are in the Data folder, as Bin files.
the images are stored as .PNGs inside some of those bin files, although they appear to be obfuscated in some way, as the files don't have the .png magic bytes, and binwalk can't detect them either, if I had to guess they probably use some custom tool to do the job.

The DBA Halloween 2023 version has a file called dandy_script.dll in Data/Bin that can be modified with a Hex editor. I was able to get the dynamic library to fail to load, which causes a previously unseen UI button in the main menu to appear called "editor." I don't see any discussion about this hidden editor feature. I can't get the button to do anything, but somebody more experienced than me probably could.
