Overview:

She escaped with her baby daughter Anya. She worked as a nurse in a children’s hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. One night when she was returning from the night shift she was attacked by a female vampire. She was drained of blood and raped - turned in the creature of the night.​

One might think the abusive husband to be the problem ... but she is genuinely sold and used in classic slave trade practices
of the master vamps race more clearly seen in queen of the damned.
