Exactly, it mercilessly hammers home the inferiority and helplessness of the MC. In stark contrast to many JRPGs where the MC is constantly validated and universally liked by his/her peers. I can attest it works great if your self-esteem as a player is low and you can relate to MC in things like being outshone by younger peers/family members, or not being taken seriously, or having body image issues, or being a burden on those around you. They went out of their way to make the player feel like shit, and I salute them for that.
The problem is that even if he could advance like crazy, he would never be good enough to just take down one thug without extra help, there was not even real advancement. Why going out of your way building a peculiar RPG system (which, by the way, was quite good) if the main character is helplessly handicapped?
Most NTR games from time to time at least throw a bone to the player / cucked-character, giving the feeling there's at least some chance of stopping the spyral of destruction (it doesn't stop usually, but is less depressing. Even the friggin' NTRPG2 has one or two moments of relief).
A good bit of small penis humiliation would have been the cherry on top, as well as another way to make MC suffer. After all, it's something he probably never thought about in his life, why not add lifelong, ego-grinding, self-loathing performance anxiety to his laundry list of woes? Being stuck with a subpar dick for life and being physically incompatible with pretty much everyone is a fine way to feel helpless and worthless.

What pissed me off though was the constant convoluted scheming around the character, especially the poison scheme. I would have preferred a more seduction-based approach rather than having to lie and use drugs. I stopped playing after MC's love interest gave in, I felt like the game had served its purpose and I was already having a seriously conflicted boner for hours.
I think I didn't reached that part, but I can see where it was going. I stopped at the dungeon when the MC tries to save the tsundere childhood-friend and get hopelessly mopped down by the underling guard, and you are forced to watch her "training" while on the other side of the continent, the main girl is just giving in to Mr.Alpha male (not to mention the sister that, for whatever reason, "joined" the other camp). That really took a toll on me.
At one time I even tampered with the stats of the game (I usually don't even use cheats when available), and found you are forced to fail for a lot of times... I stopped then, roughly between the fourth and fifth "training session".
I can see the point of writing good characters and painting adorable girls just to corrupt them later (it's not really my preferred genre, but I can see the appeal), but this is not even NTR anymore (I already said that? yeah, probably).
While the game is overall well done, well written, with nice arts, it's simply unbearable.
m1zuki, the translator did say about it "Not recommended for any delicate souls out there." , I should've trusted him more about that
or simply accept I'm a more delicate soul than I think XD
but I think I can seriously quote the part about "seriously conflicted boner", it's the only game I'm happy to have dropped.
