Sorry for the late reply, I was away for business.
(waiting 40 minutes for my project to build, so lets do some ranting).
In all honestly - I am disappointed! I prepared several paths (which I had to redo several times because the dev screwed things up) but outside of some sex/kissing with the other females in game - they mean utter shit - there is no (story) progress.
One of the paths that I really want is daughter + Elena (and possible Margo, she is HOT). REALLY hyped for it! I remember them messing around w/ kissing and some action on bed and in the shower. Then it took I don't know how many months before we had some fingering in the shower (I believe that was chapter 2) - that's it. No remarks, no fooling around - nothing. It is like it never happened, which pisses me off!
For this to work we need more updates. I get that. It is really hard to do progress in any path when there is 3 months between each update. The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that after 3 months you end up with an update, that feels like less than a months work. Time wise IT IS a months work, but there has to be ways to introduce more content. Get a 2nd or 3rd render machine for all I care! The story must be already written, right? Currently I pay 60$ for less than 1 - 2 hours of content. Matter of fact, I went through my billings and if I add all Patreon funds up - I payed just under the 400$ for my DMD experience. Does it justify the costs? No, definitely not. I do it to support him, but like I said - his way of doings aren't evolving. He is stuck in the past.
Story wise: there are so many possible paths in game that playing them all out is going to take them years - which in they end sucks for the people paying. Lets say it takes 4 years to be able to do a threesome with Elena and daughter. This will cost me 960$ (4*12*20) - that is A LOT of money for something so simple. What about the harem? You really think we can do a harem with: daughter, Elena, Georgina, Jennifer before 2020? What about the Chinese photographer, Margo and maybe Rachel? Think about it - I am starting to believe that introducing all these characters and paths that it killed DMD in the long run.
What about Melody: well, I play it too but I feel nothing for her. The only way I put up with her is the DMD-connection. I couldn't care less about her.
In the last episode something happened, and it could go into blackmailing (which I hope for) or more interaction between the three, but if he doesn't deal with it immediately then I am out. I don't want to spend 1.5 hours riding horses and acting like nothing happened and then have 3 lines at the end saying "I know you are fucking your dad", "What?? HOW??", "I mean, no I am not".

I guess ... you are right. I'm not supporter of MrD at Patreon anymore, but pay even more at bmac each month.
And what we get for a lot of money is ... really too little.
One can say "Better little than nothing" ... but since it's inofficially announced that there won't be ch3 and a lot of content we're waiting (and paying) for never will coming out, it's even harder to keep motivated to stay with the game and MrD :|
Oh, and I hoped very much for a reunion with Olivia (what a beauty :heartcoveredeyes: ).
I guess writing to MrD would be a thing many of us should do to convince him to do more work for DMD:FeelsGoodMan:

I used to support him too, but had to drop my $20.00 monthly due to money was short, but he deserves it
I decided to skim through the game in the run-up to the release. Played a little through the fun bits of Ch1, then opened Ch2. A bunch of my saves vanished. They were there a few weeks ago. Is there any issue with playing Ch1 interfering with save files from Ch2? It's the only thing I can think of.

One option for you might be to change your Patreon commitment to $20 every third month, with $5 or some other combo in between. I know that some patrons at least spoke of doing that.
As for the Olivia/Margo character creep, both these characters werenot intended as sexual partners, but became so as patrons became excited about each new female character. (Even that cafe scene with D/MC/Olivia and Olivia’s Dad was due to patron interest in Olivia/Dad).
As for the delay between D/Elena moments with no talking about it between, I agree. It is a weakness in that you’d expect at least D to have some thoughts about her and Elena (at least “well, she’s been poking at me all the time I’ve known her, so what’s new”).
I too would like to see DMD have faster output. Iiwu, I would pm MDots and Hearsz as I don’t think the 2/1 release schedule will change, but there is always discussions about how to juggle the two projects.
(I hear your frustration on creating path saves that don’t pan out. Me, being a fan of the drama and angst of NTR and netorase, have paths for even a “pizza boy/no pizza boy” route. Poor pizza boy. He never got nuthin.)

Sorry to hear your motivation dropped after my posting. All I can say is the transition between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 did not go smoothly and the headache is something that MDots does not want to repeat.
That being said, a series of post Chapter 2 releases might do the same as a Chapter 3 release without the coding headache. (And shucking off the “game day per release” format which I think hampers the exploration of some of the threads — as I just don’t see how D gets to a full polyamorous open marriage with impregnation and a mfm moment as well by then end of a Chapter 3 at “day per release” pace).
But with special releases you could explore:
(1) D’s honeymoon (as I expect we will have a wedding ... at least I’m pushing the heck for it ... in Ch2 ... if you recall I pushed like heck for the D orgasm before Ch1 closed.);
(2) D’s modeling career to include traveling to exotic locations;
(3) D’s new family (to include all 4 main female characters and MC living in the same household);
(4) D’s college;
(5) D’s other kinks;
(6) and D’s pregnancy (and everyone else’s)
As you can see, you get six more releases from this hypothetical (and maybe 12 if each is a double release.). And each release covers weeks-months-years as is appropriate.
