Somehow you missed Elena seeing D and her father sleeping in bed naked together, and after D's day on the farm, Elena got a picture of D and her father doing very very naughty things.

Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear enough (or maybe you didn't read my comment carefully enough *caugh*). But i missed the part where Elena actually CONFRONTED D about her new found knowledge.

Timeline as far as i read it:
Elena sees D&Dad in bed - is shocked (and turned on).
Then she asks D a few subtle questions and figures "ah, she's still a virgin".
Until here, D doesn't know that Elena knows.
Then, in the train, Elena somehow "wonders" about D&Dads relationship again, as if she had forgotten everything.
From then on, there's not a single 1-1 scene for D&Elena until the scene at the school, where Elena just drops the bomb "btw i told your Dad about my first time, so he will try to make YOUR first time special." ... and D's reaction to it is "oh, ok, k, nice.".
There's not a single confrontation about it, no denying, nothing? Or am i missing a scene somehow?

Elena had a talk with D's father before that, on the train and he never denied it.
She never stated that she knew what was going on, but she gave him the advice to make D's first time special and romantic.

For me condoms are a mood killer, and withdrawal feels like incomplete sex. I find it sexier the rhythm method (used in some great games such as 'Sex Friend') it is really unsafe but it works in a game.

100% agree on condom use. Can’t remember what comedian said it, but the statement generally was - “nothing makes porn less sexy than condoms and the reminder of the threat of std’s.” Well, in the world of Donutstan, their are no std’s, but condoms carry for me that reminder of the real world. My hope is that MDots and Hearsz agree and D will never use condoms.

In the secondary group and not so obvious are Georgina and Elena - followed finally by Cassandra. So there are my predictions as a team member. Really, the first two are shoe ins and the others may or may not pan out. The future is in flux.

Very nice input. I was not involved with DMD in the beginning, but it does have the quality you speak of (take Roman Holiday and other movies). Obviously, as the VN progressed D has been “growing up” and that is a goal of mine to keep the character progressing towards further character growth.

I was on Melody from the beginning and it structured more as two semi-broken character finding each other and growing into a relationship (though, personally, I keep,pushing for the story and characters to be a bit darker and edgy - but this is a project by consensus with the final call by MDots and Hearsz).

"Roman Holiday" is a great parallel ! Yes, as you and others here have discussed, I guess Chapter 3 was hoped to offer more of the growth and real-world elements into (what I have felt was) a fantasy which finally gets realized. Because, now that 20 is out, the real work begins for these characters. It seems that the team has decided to make their big play and so much can go either or both wrong and right, from now on. For all the triumphs that this lastest installment offered, I feel more nervous and worried for these characters than every before - even since the end of Chapter 1.

That's very interesting insight you shared on the Melody plot: although I feel it's clear that the MC needs to rebuild his own life through the story, up to this point I was seeing Melody as the both the catalyst and reason to do so. The two-character purpose you mention makes very clear sense with respect to what's been offered thus far, though I feel that the MC is less "semi-broken" and more "taking a step back to reassess where to go next" from how he's been portrayed thus far.

Still, anyone who has gone through a break-up or divorce knows what it's like to feel at least a bit broken, so maybe Melody is more of a healing spell that also remakes his outlook...

There is no confrontation with the daughter, but Elena is outright calling the Dad&Daughter relation out in the talk at the school - to which the Daughter's reply is .. pretty much nothing.

So, I have played through 20 via my preferred D-only path and am now going back through it with the "harem" enabled. Then, I'll try D-only again to ensure all the perspectives make sense.

Because I am so verklempt right now. Why am I so emotionally invested in D's present happiness and future well-being?

And incredibly nervous about their futures, despite the massive crescendo of their latest day:

• Rachel still wants to win, win, win and now she wants to save face, too
• Elena still has that incriminating picture and D has said she has loose lips
• MC needs a job and might be in competition with Richard (and his brother, assuming he gets out of jail somehow) if he goes for photography
• D is going to experience the post-honeymoon phase for the first time in her life... reality is not a fairy tale, but learning to love despite the daily grind is sublime
• If you are on the harem route, Georgina and Jennifer are potentially disruptive players

On the tangentially plus side, we continue to hear about more incestuous relationships passing by their lives, so perhaps they will find comaraderie and/or support in unexpected places.

How many installments are we expecting for Chapter 2, again? Wondering about how much opportunity there is to begin dealing with these and other issues.

Without a Chapter 3, I've said that it would be fine if we are left with a somewhat ambiguous ending, but there would need to be viable, compelling possibilities we can consider before that could happen. Right now, it feels like we're essentially at a new Day 1.

D was shown thinking to herself that Elena is not stupid and that everything she offered made perfect sense. D was already gone in her mind and heart by that point and just accepted that Elena was being the same, supportive friend that she has been portrayed as consistently in this VN, I feel.

Quick FYI. If you're encountering this error when saving a game:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
  File "game/screens.rpy", line 282, in __call__

    renpy.save(fn, extra_info=save_name)
RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded while pickling an object

While it needs a proper fix, you can temporary solve this by typing this in the console:
sys.setrecursionlimit(2000)

or make an empty file in \DMD.CH2-0.20-pc\game\ , name it whatever (but add .rpy as a fileextension) and in a texteditor type in:
init 1:
python hide:
sys.setrecursionlimit(2000)

..You just need any value over the default, 1000.
This should help you save your game properly for now.

x:\Users\account\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\DMD-1469236204

and

x:\DMD.CH2-0.20-pc\game\saves

That I was able to make new saves without that error message, as well. YMMV.
