One thing is seeing your X with another girl and other thing is seeing him with your Daughter. No doubt Reachel will burst in anger. She will try everything to take D away and take revenge on MC. (If she discovers the secret of MC and D.)

Yes there is a possibility that she could break in tears and feel sorry and consider herself responsible for the incident and accepts MC and D relation. I think thats unlikely to happen. But who knows whats in Mrdots mind.

Whatever happens Reachel cant stay with MC because that will hamper the growth of MC and D's relation.
Further, I feel that Rachel's behavior in v.21 shows that she was living vicariously through D as much as she was controlling her ability to experience life outside of a contained bubble. That seemed to make her feel whole, but it was only as a ruler of D's life, I believe.

I could see D thawing a bit when she sees Rachel throw everything away to somehow win some affection again ... but Rachel would likely reveal her true self through the same behaviors D never wants to re-experience. So I figure any reconcilliation would be temporary and then scuttled soon after.

Unless MrDots puts Rachel on a complete redemption path, she seems destined to realize all the worries I had about her likely comeback after getting trounced in v0.20. Whatever goes on with her, I am betting on a bumpy path ahead.

EDIT: Given Martin's apparent subservience to demanding women, maybe he'd be a compatible partner for Rachel :)

I don't see that happening. Every good story needs a good antagonist, and that's what Rachel is. I expect, sooner or later, she's going to discover their big secret. That would give the author plenty of conflict to shake up the story.

Right, I don't think it's probable, but wanted to mention it as a possibility as well. Maybe too much Steven Universe makes one wonder at the ability of people to find the better side of seemingly unsalvagable personalities :)

I feel there is still plenty of potential tension from things talked about during v.20 timeframe:
  1. D finishing school
  2. Both of them finding jobs to afford the lifestyle they currently envision together
  3. How to stay "hidden in public"
  4. The possibility that D's growth in life experience will naturally motivate her to see other possibilities beyond her relationship with the MC
  5. The growing "motherly" role that Georgina may play and how that relates to revelations of D + MC bonding
  6. How to coordinate all the potential love interests that MC has going in those game paths where other women beyond D are involved
Rachel can be an antagonist for a number of those above items, it seems - whether she figures out D and MC's relationship or not. If this goes a route similar to Melody, for all we know Rachel might somehow hook up with Lucas as a pairing of villains (seems unlikely, but hey). I see her as someone who mostly keeps the pot of challenges stirring more than anything, but IF they decided to try a reconcilliation route, imagine the tension there of not knowing if/when Rachel eventually hits them with treachery, too.
