Did DMD v0.31 switch to new Ren'Py 7.4 ?
Because v0.30 work fine for me, but in v0.31 i get squigly font.

Or not, i have 2 logs, mb some one tell me whats wrong, mb it's not my old integrated GPUs fault.
doots team uses latest renpy and that blurness could be due rendering (intel integrated isn't best possible for rendering), you could start game and switch renderer,
This sucks. For some reason my laptop didn't want to update. And that means this and other vns that upgraded Ren'Py is off limits til I can try again. Because the advice in that link I honestly don't understand but I thank you for trying to help us poor souls with issues

Switch to another rendering options doing that :
  1. Hold down Shift while starting Ren'Py (the game), or press Shift+G once Ren'Py(the game) has started.
  2. From the "Graphics Acceleration" menu that appears, choose the renderer to use.
  3. Choose "Quit", then restart Ren'Py.
We suggest trying the GL and ANGLE renderers. The GLES renderers may not function on desktop hardware.

I couldn't read the choices but from opening another Ren'Py I could tell where the option was. I tried all 3 to no avail. Looks like until I can update my laptop the vns made with this new Ren'Py will have to wait.

But again thank you it was worth a try:)

yea new renpy reqs opengl2.0 capable graphics or alternatively using directx (up-to-date) which doesn't have same quality as opengl.
