I played through and completed chapter 1 for the first time today. I must say that it feels like I am experiencing Deja Vu. Have you guys played "Summer with Mia" and "Lewd Island"? I think that these 3 games are made by the same person . Here is why:

i. all of them are incest based games with one being a brother-sister game while the other 2 being the father-daughter games.
ii. all 3 have a blond girl as the main LI with extremely similar facial features.
iii. all of them have a slow burn/seduction story where MC has to go to extreme lengths to seduce the LIs.
iv. all of them started as non-ntr based games but have included ntr as the development progressed.
v. in all of the 3 games MC is an unfaithful/manipulative douchbag who fucks with other women behind the main LIs back all the time or deceives her.
vi. All 3 games started development about roughly the same time i.e at the beginning of the era when the realistic 3dcg games came more into focus as before this 2dcg games were more popular.
vii. And finally all of these games ended their chapter/Season 1 with MC losing his relationship with the main LI either because she realised his manipulative nature or she was taken away (as in the case of DMD).

These are all the similarities that I can list off the top of my head, I'm sure that there are more. Feel free to mention any that I have missed.

No it didn't start with any of those things. Those things were offered as future possibilities. None of those things appeared in CH 1. As time passed the people who contributed to the game made it clear to Mr. Dots that they wouldn't support those themes, and he made his choices. So, other than a couple opportunities for sharing, they've never come to pass.

That said you have an interest definition of vanilla...

As I've said before, I feel like this game REALLY needs a huge overhaul and rework with the renders. I know it'll take a lot of time with how massive this game is, but the game now looks extremely dated, especially when compared to Melody and Sunshine Love who both just look 1000 times better than this game.

Maybe. Computing time aside, sometimes that kind of thing backfires. It's like when a comic books switches artists/inkers. It's not always an improvement. Personally, I wouldn't want to introduce an opportunity for the developers to fuck it up. The thinking often goes: as long as we're at it, why not do a few tweaks here and there.... Next thing you know Dee looks like Marjorie Taylor Greene and MC's giant dingus has a turtleneck. Updates can be good, or they can be endless elaborations on an already years-old project that only last until the next update, and the whole thing just turns into an endless series of reboots. That said, the "style" of the current incarnation has a certain charm for me. It's vaguely retro. I think they should empasize that aspect of graphics, keeping things stylistically in the twenty-teens. If they do update, I'd rather a timejump into DMD2, and hope they don't go nuts.

Yeah, definitely true, I just feel like the game could use a touchup with the models and renders is all, but I can definitely see it backfiring. Personally, I was hopeful that by the 4 part of the game, he'd have done something to perhaps skip ahead in time so as to upgrade all the renders and models and make part 4 onwards look more akin to his other games.

Yep it works thanks. Edit: It seems that after installing the wt mod the game went back to not work in fullscreen so I had to copy again the "windows-i686" folder. Edit 2: having two monitors on (1 being the laptop 1080p and 2 4k) the game dont work on fullscreen or maybe is what I said in edit 1

So everything worked fine with Chap 1 and are you still having issues now in Chap 2 after overwriting the lib files with the newer ones I have in Chap 1?
Can you do a maximized or full screen now as Lain's mods should not have changed anything for that as these type of mods just change the game dialogue.

nope, dmd and living with mia came out around same time (lwm is 5+ years old and dmd sameish) and i think lewd island is much newer game.
