Actually that's not what you said. You said that they messed up badly because you preferred Elena. You offered two points. First you prefer Elena. Far enough thats a preference. Second you asserted that they "messed up badly". To evaluate that statement we can look at the probable differences if they had selected Elena as the daughter. That opens the discussion that I addressed.Note the word 'imo' in my post. then realize that I don't care what the majority of people may think, because all that matters to me is my opinion in that statement.
I get that you prefer Elena, and you're welcome to your preference, which is not open to debate. Whether or not it was a mistake opens all the various concerns that caused them to pick Dee, and that is open to debate and discussion. It was on that aspect of the conversation that I called your judgement into question.
Opinions about preference are not debatable, there is no accounting for taste. Opinions about business decisions are completely debatable, because we can assess the probable or possible fallout of every choice.
