No my observation was that DMD has veered away from Sharing and Corrupting Dee to morph into a Romance novel. And that anyone hoping to see D corruption variety will be sorely disappointed.
Simply stated if you are looking to corrupt D abandon hope all ye who play DMD.

Tastes vary, but Dee has what ten times the fan art of Elena? Plus she's been copied on multiple other games, which as far as I know is not the case for Elena. I get that you have a different preference, but numbers don't lie. Had Mr. Dots made Elena the daughter, there is a VERY good chance that DMD would have died in its first year.

Depending on your choices she's screwed her photographer, in a scenario where her father was screwing the photographer's date. She and her father had sex alongside another father daughter couple who were screwing their brains out.She's had a threesome with her father and the woman he plans to make a permanent member of their family. I don't follow the "sharing" path so I don't know if your choice allow her to screw Martin, but I'm given to understand that's available.

Don't know if you've seen the Ryan scene. Martin is just the same in Ryan's place. Same way to get there, he has to save her from the party.

If we're talking about Patreons (the only people whose opinion actually matters to MrDots) then they might have decided "two-thirds of his development time is spent on content I have no interest in, rather than the stuff I'm paying him for, so why exactly am I paying for this?"
There is simply a finite amount of time he can spend on each update, and every week that's spent on the optional stuff that the majority of users will never see is pointless, from the point-of-view of the majority of his customer base. Him spending half the development time on content that only 20% of his customer base want to see would be a terrible idea, since it'd be fundamentally identical to telling them "I'm only gonna spend two weeks on content you'll see this update; that's worth two months Patreon money, right?"

You forgot two other motivations. Some players don't feel complete until they have encountered every scene in the game. They may feel "forced" to endure scenes they don't like to finish the game. Some players don't like knowing that there is scenes in a game they hate, even if they never see them. For those, the mere existence of those scenes feels like a violation.

Well, rather than change the game's title to "Dating my Tenant," or "Dating my College/Childhood Friend's Daughter," the team decided to take the game off Patreon. It would not be worth it to go back and make a Patreon-friendly version.

Actually that's not what you said. You said that they messed up badly because you preferred Elena. You offered two points. First you prefer Elena. Far enough thats a preference. Second you asserted that they "messed up badly". To evaluate that statement we can look at the probable differences if they had selected Elena as the daughter. That opens the discussion that I addressed.

Whether or not it was a mistake opens all the various concerns that caused them to pick Dee, and that is open to debate and discussion. It was on that aspect of the conversation that I called your judgement into question.

The dev was really thinking Elena to be the daughter.
Also at the start of the game D was not that innocent and naive at all.
But around 0.03 there was a massive change to make her personality what is now.

As I said a long time ago, I don't like the Elena and Jeniffer model very much, especially because it seems that the body is not balanced, you just have to look at the heads that are too big for those little bodies.
If it were for personality, the model does not matter since you can give it the personality you want, as it has been possible to see the daughter in "the man of the house", where she is more open, on the other hand here she is more tender and innocent.

That a spin-off was made, I think it's good for those who like it, as they have done in "school, friends and love" with the MC's Rival, a spin-off that I won't even see.

Yes. In general, those Models (Elena, Jennifer, the girls from the modelling competition) look more like children than anything. The only exception is the Daughter, but only because of her big tits. Without those, she would also look like a child (with way too much make-up).

It will all depend on what the financial hit for MrDots team will be when DmD finishes -the cynical (re. realists) will point out that CH4 is now being extended into 2022.

As I said, I don't care about anyone else's opinion on that particular matter. So they did mess up badly, because to me, all that matters is my opinion. I have no problem admitting my own selfish desires. Embrace who you are.

If DMD will be extended into 2022 it is only because there would only be 2 maybe 3 updates left and that doesn't seem to leave enough time to be properly concluded.
