Exactly. Something a lot of people here don't understand is the OPTIONAL PART. I like having control over the situation. There's a reason why so many pure harem and pure cuckold VN don't do well here. But give me the ability to choose. The capacity to fuck up and lose the girl and now you have something interesting. indeed we tried. And we got more trouble than benefit. We pleased a few, but screwed the majority. Overall it was a loss.
We learned from that.
In general we have a no-ntr policy several years now (see also info-faq on our discord).
Originally we guessed by the definition of NTR (netorare only), it would be ok trying something new by going a sharing path where MC WILLINGLY shares his love interest (actively forced into such a path by the player himself), and being able to avoid it 100%, would be ok.
But we underestimated the toxic discussions ongoing between people of both fractions.
So i guess (nothing 100%, as things always can change when people gonna change) we just go back to how it worked fine.
The only (significant) changes within the new game will be (hopefully) less dialogue (meaning more story related and short rather than explaining background and "unnecessary" side-info).
We just stuck to the codex that a visual NOVEL should also include more to read - but people just want a basic story and more fleshed out lewds. So we learned that and try to fix it next time.
Also people complained mostly about the MC being to "beta" and acting like a "douchebag". Self-reflecting our past games, we agree. So the MC will be more dominant and self-confident in next game.
In addition to that, we recognized that the vast majority is likely for a full harem path - so we take that for the next game though.
Finally we try to change the renders (facial expressions) and animations to be more like nowadays' standard.

So in short:
NO ntr (probably not even sharing), rape or bestiality
MORE confident MC
LESS textwalls
BETTER optics (renders and animations)
FULL HAREM OPTION (for next game)

REGARDING THAT POLL:
If you read that poll closely, it didn't say that the majority WANTS ntr, it said that about 50% would be ok with it as long as it is avoidable. But also a HUGE amount was strictly AGAINST ntr at all. So it would be a bigger loss than benefit for some.
Also MrDots has round about 5000 supporters, whilst that poll got answered by less than 1000.
Those who like the game probably haven't even answered, as the past clearly shows that mostly those who dislike something get online to bother and demand (or rage). You see even over here in Threads with high rating more rage posts than people just telling good things. People who enjoy, just enjoy - people who rage need a place to let it out (mostly forum and discord) - that's life.
Finally a poll on our discord is NOT something to decide where a game goes or what content to come - it's more like a feedback what people think.
In the end our games will ever be made like WE want (of course we try to please as many supporters as we can, but not on all costs XD). Sometimes special demands just don't match the overall story (like Dee acting like a whore and fucking everyone possible just few weeks after she admitted her love towards her dad and losing her virginity.)

It has been explained in this thread dozens of times in the Discord who knows how many times and even in SubStar comments but the pro-Lots of dicks crowd ignores it time and again and acts like there is no explanation for wanting ZERO sharing crap.

In DMD there was a DIRECT loss of the 4some in Chapter 3 because they had to show off extra dicks for the sharing people and that was a horrible choice. The only reason there wasn't a lot more shouting is as you say more than half of the subs/patrons just get the release and play and do not see all the details about it. How many people say that Melody is their favorite if you skip the nostalgia of DMD? And that game had ZERO sharing.

The pro-share crowd is not now or ever has been as big as they like to say and they have only succeeded in harming the VNs (scene loss) not helping them (droves of supporters).

Very disappointing. I guess we should bow to the majority of vanilla people. The NTR / sharing / swinging / DP was the reason I was playing it, but oh well... . I like reading as long as it doesn't feel like its nonsensical filler and it has a purpose of moving the story along. Fleshed out lewds is a good idea. I hope that also includes fleshing out dialogues during the lewd scenes too.

As for basic story... I'm not sure how much more basic you can get judging from the 3 games so far. I would like a more unique and serious/thriller-y story if that's what you mean? Because the 3 games has the MC as a singer's manager, a model's manager, and a hotel manager. Its not necessarily bad starting point but you guys choose the most boring aspects of each of those job as plot points. Like for example hotel manager. You guys went with reviving a hotel as a plot point. That is a snooze fest and I don't want to learn how to run a hotel...

Model's manger/DMD had a ton of potential. Chapter 1&2 was fine but for example, chapter 3 would have been perfect for exploring the dark side of the modeling industry. I could see you were trying to head in that direction (judges soliciting sexual favor for votes) at the end of chapter 3 but then gave up.
