As for the people suggesting to make a dummy project and only post CG's/the dummy game here is what MR.Dots has to say:

In all honesty the answer to the question of wether it's SJW/Me Too or Conservative Puritanism that's lead to this, the answer is likely neither and both. These games and certain adult content is likely offensive to both sides of that and generally offensive to certain people and way easy to make a media outrage about. Now whatever money Patreon earn from this content and whatever goodwill being free speech absolutists would get them likely pale in comparison to the money they get from investors and are likely to earn from big Youtubers and other mainstream creators. With them getting in venture capital funding and seeing an influx of people coming over from Youtube, I assume they're scrubbing their site of stuff they find likely to offend those people or cause an outrage that would scare them away. While I don't agree with it, it is sadly their right to do so. But we can all agree on the fact that it sucks.
How dare you post a reasonable and thoughtful assessment in the era of manufactured rage! Rage, I say! Rage against the dying of the bright!
Patreon isn't looking for an excuse to ban, Patreon simply isn't stupid or has any motivation to risk a lot of bad press for a fringe group of users... I mean some here act like Patreon is on a personal crusade to destroy those developers when this development came with ample warning and is simply a result of Patreon slowly adopting the typical industry standards (and honestly considering how some of those patreons are run I can't exactly say that more regulation is a bad thing). Those developers had months to prepare for this but instead seem to have thought they could "trick" the system with some of the most unimaginative measures you could think of. And while we are talking about comparatively small developers many of those devs still made several thousand dollars a month which is far from peanuts, at least in my opinion.
No, I personally would have liked it if Patreon showed a bit more leniency and decided to go with a standard more similar to see what we see in art/literature but I can't say I am surprised to see they didn't. I certainly don't think that this is the beginning of a "moral" dictatorship like some here are proposing.
Yeah, associating with the Alt-Right is exactly what tabboo fetishes and developers need....

I believe that we should help our favorite game creators thwart this politically-correct motivitated attempt against freedom of expression.
Their artform, though akin in many respects to the ''Taboo'' erotica films of old, is less boastful in it's claiming of public space, and thus, manifests it's expression more discreetly.
They're humble about it; and, heck, everyone knows that it's make-believe !!!
Just like those classic movies never pretended to be anything but !

Ok, here is the deal. Since November/2017 I started to develop an website/croudfunding exactly like Patreon but focused on adult content. I have my own company since 2010 and I am computer programmer since 1998. So my partners and I decided to fulfill this lack, and we thought that we would had time to make it robust and launch before this Patreon's mess happend.
We already are at test phase, for now, all payments and recurring will be made by PayPal (yes, we had created a business account on PayPal). We are taking this very serious. So, in about 2 oe 3 weeks we will be launching the website and hoping that all the Adult Creators migrate to our croudfunding.
We are going to give full support for adult content creators, but of course, all that is right by the law!
That is why I really need to talk with DarkSilver, MrDots and the guys from SummerTime Saga, because they will be the next on Patreon's aim. I want their help to test the platform before we launch.
I hope that we can help each other to have a secure and good place for everyone express their artistics habilities.
