Kimochi Red Light was discussed here earlier. It's terrible. Might be even a scam. Basically, you have to sign over all rights to the project to them.

Thanks, I hadn't seen earlier discussion (it's a large topic). I can't find a search function here either, but will try to do more research.

However, I have also seen other sites where purchases for adult games are specifically managed for the producers, but with different models than Patreon. They would need to consider a pay-per-release model in some cases, for example.

But, the point is that methods exist and payment processors which have been OK with adult content (listed in the other topic about Patreon killing DMD) are still around. They might need to consider a self-managed option as well, but hiring someone part-time to keep the books balanced could be part of their operating cost model.

well you're going to have blue balls for a very long time brah if that's your bag. even before the Patreon mess, Chapter 2 would have taken another year or so to wrap up before we get to Chapter 3 and the more extreme fetishes.

now with the "On Hold" status, we may not see v0.18 until May/June at the earliest while MrDots and his team focus efforts on developing Melody (which I think holds much promise and the girl is way cute)

probably because you ran the "censored" 0.15 and when MrDots released 16.5 many of the variables changed (cleaned up the code).

You will need to either:

1) Re-download Chapter 1, version 0.14.5 and restart from scratch
2) In v0.17, start a new game from scratch and re-define stats and relationships
3) Steal a save from someone who already played through and rename the characters.

#2 and #3 seem easiest.

Loved the update, but must agree with you here.
The whole "let's buy plane tickets and flee after camping" plan does not fit with the legal battle/detective investigation hinted at earlier.
Would be a shame.
This said, I just hope that the game will be continued to be developed. Crossing fingers to see a new update in, say, under three months.
