I've seen preview pics of most of the games on this site. As well, there are so many morphs that 100 young faces can easily be morphed into 500. There are add-ons for skin, hair, eyes, eyebrows, lips, teeth. Of those 100 faces, at least 30 are new to me. In less than an hour someone could find 10 "stunners" like that younger version of Georgina that require very little work. What I've found, supported by the testimony of people in the DMD Assets thread, is that MrDots spent more tender loving care rendering D than ALL other characters combined for DMD. Wise choice!!
So why is Melody so meh? This is one weird puzzle...

I think Melody reflects the game in general. Melody is a revenue source, I'm not saying Mr.Dots isn't committed to creating a good game, its just that maybe DMD was a little more than a money maker. Melody is a sanitized Patreon permitted game that doesn't have the chance to mature like DMD did.

just seems odd no other site has come forward to pull off the unwanted devs from Patreon, of course part of the problem is getting enough devs to jump ship to make a new platform profitable.
and its about image, some devs may not want their product associated with a site labeled as a "porn" site. While they may be developing an adult game but in their minds adult game and porn are not necessarily the same thing, so may not want to be on a porn site.
Either a Patreon exodus has to happen in mass for an alternative site to become a reality or a dev revolt against Patreon has to happen to end the persecution.
My advice to all the adult game content devs is as Franklin said to his fellow revolutionaries, "If we do not all hang together we shall surely all hang separately."

That is because a) you underestimate the usefulness of the massive userbase, trust and "prestige" patreon has and b) as far as I am aware the issue is less of Patreon own making but more of the financial service providers like paypal (indeed it was Patreon who actually convinced paypal to drop some of its restrictions when it comes to adult content a few years ago which many of the whole "patreon is the spanish inquisition" crowd seem to ignore/forget...) in which case pretty much any new platform will sooner or later run into the same issues (or have to live with extremely severe restrictions in regards to its financing options).

Many of us in this thread think D is more attractive with her hair down and with less makeup. Examples are plentiful in DMD with D in the shower, bath (my avatar), or swimming.

What DMD has is vivid female personalities. Not necessarily in-depth, but a player can fill in blanks to his heart's content.
The sweet and cuddly personalities are D, Jennifer and Georgina.
Margo is the most versatile. Self-reliant and in control but still kind-hearted.
Olivia and Cassandra know what they like. Especially sex. Still, they choose to be selective. Both seem kind-hearted as well.
Then there is Elena. Although not classically beautiful, her eyes and facial expressions can be alluring. Her personality seems to fit best in the Olivia/Cassandra mold, but she has yet to learn to be selective. These wild-child types can be "mad, bad and dangerous to know".
Rachel is an enigma. Apparently, she very much enjoyed sex when younger. But she is cold and calculating. She is an arch manipulator. Many players would like to "break" her for her wicked ways. Surely, she is the least popular--sexually--in DMD.
Lots and lots of choices. But many players with different tastes and backgrounds. The "best girl" may be best for you. Fair enough...

However there are sites that offer adult content and do not use payppal that are thriving.
Since (presumably) none of us are privy to the inner workings of Patreon we really don't know how much the top brass there resisted paypal, we only know what we are told. What we do know is what is happening to devs now.

Just do a Google search and you will see that PayPal is the main reason of Patreon changing their ways....Not rocket science
