If you people didn't religiously defend the guy as if he was the next coming of Christ, then he might actually feel some pressure and progress the damn story. Why would he speed it up though if people keep continuing to throw their wallets at him and defend him like rabid animals whenever someone says even the slightest amount of criticism?
Do I blame Dots? Of course not, he's just taking advantage of his fans like any greedy patreon dev would. The main problem is his supporters. It's just frustrating to see how desperate and gullible people are when it comes to this game, because the market is so damn starved for these fetishes. I'm confident that if he lost a lot of patreon donations when he decided to milk this once every 3 months, that he would have quickly made changes and put this game back on a monthly update. Nothing is stopping him from updating this once a month, he's using patreon as an excuse.
The frequency in which he updates this game is irrelevant and wouldn't change anything with Patreon's TOS, all that mattered was that DMD wasn't listed on patreon and/or listed as the reason he's taking donations. He just chose to focus on his other awful game because he knew it would be the perfect excuse to milk DMD for far more years than he originally could have and you all believe his BS as if it were the gospel. I'm sure he also had a glimmer of hope that the other game could become the next DMD, because 2 games to milk is better than 1, but the truth is he's simply not that talented and the other game lacks the key fetishes that made DMD so successful.
It was timing, a bit of luck and the fetishes chosen that blew this game up. Incest + 3D Loli, don't even try to deny that Elena and the other girl are Loli characters, they blatantly are, regardless of his "dur all characters are 18+" line in the intro. Ever wonder why D sits in this weird uncanny valley of adult/teen and quite literally acts like a 12 year old that is completely unaware of sexuality? It's because she was originally around 14 yrs old in his early alpha releases on the chans. Then he ballooned her tits, made her hips wider, caked her face in makeup(you can see her original face in shower scenes when she doesn't wear makeup) and claimed "she's 18!", so she can be his cover girl on patreon.
Ahh that rant was entirely pointless yet so satisfying.
