That's true the petals have to be available on more than the share D route. Unless the dev team creates 2 petal branches one for D sharing and one for D only, but that seems like a lot of extra effort.
IMO if it's a one petal system for all routes then the petals will have to do less with sharing (group sex etc.) and more with D being an exhibitionist. Something that works with both D's, kinky or naughty.

Well, very unlikely but you could as soon as the last petal turned black, simply go on, by turning black petals into let's say red ones ... and on and on it goes ... forever ...

no, it was 100% clear what was meant by the pet arc. but i'll concede that it does seem like that isn't something they are going to go with anymore. but with a whole new chapter they've given themselves more time to play with such ideas again.

IMO the original plan for DMD was to corrupt D to the extreme. As time went on and D developed a rapport with the fans I believe the plot changed to making her naughty, but not a total deviant.

When DMD was going to end at Chapter 3 there was little chance realistically that D would have sex with a dog, that'd be too far outside of personality. It would not play honestly.
With the addition of another chapter D could conceivably go that far into deviant sex. I doubt it will happen as jamdan pointed out the writers are against it.
