The social commentary did feel kind of forced.
Outside of aboriginal issues in Australia involving Britain, I really only know about the indentured servitude, and slave issues post civil war where the decline of the cotton market moved to Australia for a short period. Australia is kind of known for it's acceptance where I have heard and that seemed a little out of place. If it were America, I might see it happening, MAYBE, but this doesn't take place in the US or "donutistan"... Even in the US if someone said something like that in public, especially loud enough for others to hear, someone woulda started some shit. Aside from being an asshat online, behaving that way in public would be very ballsy or very stupid.
PETA doesn't really help much in terms of animal rights and is kind of a running gag around here. Making me think this was a forced thing in where D has to/wants to do a nude/semi nude photoshoot. It felt uncomfortable that the nude photoshoot came so quickly, and I spent the whole time assuming C was going to try something on D, despite doing D path only with no sharing. Georgina's little speech as well was a bit off putting and kind of made me think she was a degenerate trying to get D naked. She kept mentioning the cause and how bodies are beautiful, but using a cause as a reason to do something seems stupid and arrogant. Do something because you want to and because you feel it is right or are comfortable with it. Not because of some good cause should have been what she said.
Both these scenarios seemed odd to me and felt like dots team were trying to say something in a not so conspicuous way.
Granted that dmd is in itself a sort of social commentary, these two things came a little out of left field, but I don't think it's a big deal. I still enjoy playing DMD

You may be right with SL, I don't know if anything has been said in the game announcements.
I assume DMD and MEL are set in the same time period since Mr Dots crossed them over in this latest DMD episode, having Sophie and Xianne walking into the restaurant (not looking any older like they presumably would if MEL was prior) and having D mention Melody as a singer.

I read a comment that said maybe the discrimination aimed at Martin is a device to make him be more accepting of D having a relationship with her father.
Personally I don't need D "social justice crusader".
One other issue I have with this update is that playing it through on either the sharing or D only route made very little difference. This seemed like a D only update, so logically the next update should be a D sexual animal update.

I guess it depends on F and how he reacts when D tells him about her feelings for Martin. I just hope we get the D+Martin update before people are taking down Halloween decorations.

For me I would like to see them hooking up with F's blessing first a few times then maybe a threesome later. This also gives F a chance to actually spend a night with one of his other conquests for once instead of a quickie while D's back is turned. I think with all the different routes that are available this would still be ok. For example if you are not on the sharing path maybe D goes for a drink with either Georgina or Jennifer instead depending on who you have chosen and on pure D route you could just spend the night with her as usual maybe with a new sex act or bonus for staying pure D.

Going straight into a threesome would be so jarring and would take me right out of it personally.

The Martin racism issues were entirely from me and were entirely from a U.S. POV. I’m from California and am also a criminal defense attorney. Yes, racism is alive and well. The comments off screen by the ladies at the restaurant are from an actual incident, but overheard by the black male in that case. There is in the States (some worse than others) an objectification of the black man sexually - not by all women, but enough that it is a pattern. As for the hotel, yes it still happens. It wasn’t to push a social agenda, but we added it to give Martin a different flavor than the other VN’s out there and to give him a vulnerability with D rather than having him be a non-descript male.

As for ETAP, again not a commentary on PETA, but we are seeking some cause that D can champion as we go from Chapter 3 to Chapter 4, and PETA has all those delightful nude model campaigns. Again, not a social issue press by us, but the way the modeling industry is moving away from the tradition supermodel career format to their new format (to be revealed in our story as we proceed), D needs a cause or focus that will drive the career past Chapter 3 - and I just see her as a champion Of stray dogs and orphans.

That was all put in there to get D to “imagine them in their underwear” concept, but on a sexual level. Whether that is realistic, we are trying to get her to confidence via sexuality.

Hopefully her dialogue will not be too preachy with that cause, because with all of the left and right political extremists screaming their crap on every social media site out there.
I have become sickened of it to the point that I would even leave this game in a heart beat, because it is a massive turnoff.

It would be like taking a beautiful woman to bed for a fun night of sex, and she starts off with Fuck Trump, or Fuck Hillary.
I don't care how hot she is, I would leave, because she just showed you that she is nuts...

Or more on topic, you take her to bed and she starts preaching about cruelty to animals.
If she started that shit at the bar, I would have left her ass at the bar.

With the crap that was in this release, I skipped all of it, and that is the first time I ever skipped any of the dialogue in this game. It was annoying to have to do that, but the alternative was to close the game and walk away.
So, I missed out on pretty much the entire photo shoot, and any information that could have been useful later in the game.
And considering how these games work, missing info can lead to a bad ending, but a bad ending in a game is still better than putting up with politics in places that it should not be.

If she has to have a cause to support, and since it is a fictional world, why not something like, save the unicorns. Then you can show her riding a unicorn, or posing with one.
You can say that the horns are being cut off and turned into sex toys.
The ad campaign can have the banner say, "Nothing but the real thing for me, boys."

in Melody Koko is young artist while in DMD she is around f's age so S+X's appearance is just easter egg atm.
