Wow, Nonsequitor, GREAT post. I’m of the opinion that there are several elements that lead to your emotional reaction with DMD, and I feel most of those factors orbit around Mr. Dots and the way he strings renders, face features. Body reactions and such into a semi-cinematic fashion drawing one in. The fascinating test of this will be the release of Melody and see if, with a different female MC, in a different plot and environment, will we get a similar reaction.

Melody is very different in looks and character. The MC in Melody is also very different than the MC in DMD. If Mr Dots translates Melody into something even 75% of DMD, then I will finally determine the magic comes from Mr Dots. Think of him as the casting director, film director, and cinematographer of a movie. This will be the fascinating test to see if Melody can invoke similar (but ultimately different) emotional reactions.

I say similar but different, because I believe you won’t have the same desire to protect Melody that I feel I have with DMD Daughter. However, I believe there will be a similar desire as a player to interact with and explore the relationship with Melody on an emotional and sexual level that there is with DMD Daughter.

Me too for several reasons 1 because hopefully Mr.Dots will start on DMD 18 after the release. and 2 because I am interested if lightening will strike twice and Melody will be as enticing as DMD

I really am caught up in the DMD story line and invested in the characters. I want to see how it all comes out. (hopefully in less than a few years). Does D and her F end up together or does D become a jaded porn star doing gangbang videos with a gerbil named Lemmiwinks stuffed up her ass (would that be bestiality?).

i agree.. i hope Melody works out for Mr.Dots .. as long as DMD is continued at the original pace and not rushed that is, and if it does have to be rushed it needs to make sense, which with D rushing wouldn't make sense penedeyewink:

Well, you can play chapter 2 without playing chapter 1, but then you wouldn't understand the story. So play chapter 1 first, then chapter 2.

Well, you can play chapter 2 without playing chapter 1, but then you wouldn't understand the story. So play chapter 1 first, then chapter 2.

Does the version of CH1 (14.5) contain the extra patch such as animations? I downloaded the extra patch on the main page and it just contained images, not patch files.
