My experience is probably non-typical, but I find that once intercourse starts, it tends to be the overriding means of intimate relations. I much prefer the stuff outside of intercourse (oral (both ways), masturbation (multiple ways for both partners), and general closeness/holding/kissing). From my perspective, intercourse kind of means the end/lessening of the real fun stuff, so I don't mind it taking longer to be gotten to.

This though mirrors most real world relationships, there is a build up to full on sex and then afterward that tends to dominate. Not saying other forms of intimacy no longer occur, but full on sex takes over.
But because Mr.Dots created the corruption counter (flower petals around D's icon) there is most likely going to be a lot more than just daddy fucking D after the so to speak main event. Of course how much perversion D engages in has been muted by DMD being banned from Patreon and the necessity of a more irregular update schedule.

The financial aspect IS the most important characteristic. Sure, there is creativity on display. Also, there is enough logic to convince/delude players that this is important. Sad, perhaps, but...

Nobody expect everybody will like every possible fetish that can be in the game.Hell I don't know a person that like all fetishes in Starless and that game have a lot of them.Not to mention a big junk of them are not even posted in the spoiler.

BTW I'm curious the game tell us that we can share D with Cassandra in ch.2.Is this confirmation that we won't go back home in ch.2?No Georgina and Jennifer?

Yeah, it's typical progression in relationships. I just don't like that it is, personally. Makes me kind of resent intercourse, in a way. Games aren't real-life, though, as you said, so we'll see what happens here!

Cassandra can be moved to new studios by her company, so if F can get the business growing again and she has a relationship with him, she can probably ask to be transferred to a site in his country.

Just one possible way around that.

More then happy to help, what is the game you are working on? I just wish I knew DAZ 3D and had all of MrDots settings for the D, then I could make some real fun stuff. The problem with my photoshop is it's 2d and I can't move it around and posse it. If I could do this in DAZ I would have done about 20 posses. If I could I would sit around all day making erotic porn....maybe some day.

If I could control the game I would still have a slow, "you got to work for it pal" path to get to D's "assets". But once there I would take the players on a wild ride with D. Because reality is 99% boring 99% of the time.

Actualy not been on Patreon remove all restrictions the dev can have for fetishes.
It wouldn't be a surprise if soon Patreon will forbid impregnation,bareback sex and cumming inside in the games.Maybe later they will only allow sex with husband after the marriage and only missionary position.

Oh yes, I for one welcome our new corruption overlords. But also get why some people would just peace out there.
Might even be a time to make a new chapter to make a clean cut. Long enough build up to get to everything "normal" (heh)
for most people and then start Chapter 2: The pervert awakens. Then people can also say they played the game they wanted to its fullest, while leaving the rest to others. Think some people would like that to sooth their soul.

Or just go with with preference options and optional content to have it all go parallel to each other, guess that works fine as well.
