You can talk about what you perceive as negatives in a constructive manner, without being aggressively critical. If your comments are unnecessarily harsh then that can result in a response that you are not happy with.

How was he aggressively critical or harsh then? There are a lot of comments in this thread worse than his. In fact he didn't even say he didn't like the game. He said he didn't like the patreon work arounds and the voice acting, neither of which are reflective of the game play or the story. So, if he liked the game but thought the childhood work around for incest was silly, you're basically suggesting he not play the game based entirely on the latter.

I mean, maybe he thinks the story is trash too, but we don't know that from his initial comment.

It's pretty clear why there is no release of chapter 19 (while their new game continues to get free chapters out): $.


They started this game off the same way: ~ 1 month gaps between patreon and free release. Those gaps steadily got longer and longer. The obvious reason is that you can hook a lot of people in the story, and then when you get really late into the story and deny it to people for a long time, at least some of them will give you money when they would not have if they only had to wait one month for a free release. I'm sure they're going to do the exact same thing for the next game for the exact same reason.

I mean, it's been like 4 months since chapter 18 was released. It's not like the game was put on hold, it's finished with bunch of epilogues too

I pitfall I can see in a DFD sequel would be who the father picked as a romantic interest. Would the dev team make a game for every girl who became MC's girlfriend in the first game?
This could potentially create a game with several branches from the get-go. Unless this was cleared up in the unreleased final DFD chapter.

There's many ways to do this but I do have to point out it's not titled "Kathy for Dessert: a DFD sequel." Who knows though.

More likely, they'll pick a canon ending and run from there.

There's many ways to do this but I do have to point out it's not titled "Kathy for Dessert: a DFD sequel." Who knows though.

Actually it might be more interesting to do it from the perspective of the dad dating one of the other characters and trying to avoid the temptation of his daughter again. The problem is, there's also a choice where you can tell Kathy that you're fucking your own daughter. Does that choice get ported over? There a lot of small decisions that would affect a direct sequel.

But either way the girls will probably end up being a side course for some nonsensical plot, possibly involving another stolen kitchen appliance and another forgotten family member, that we the players can do fuck all to affect.

They were looking for help on discord for how to combine the game LOL, so you might be waiting a bit. Not at all surprising with how long it took to get their 'DRM' functional. Not to mention they've added nothing to game offers nothing outside pasting the story. I think they managed to find screen shakes but it's been awhile since I've touched it.

cause it's been months since ch 18 was released for free and now dfd season 2 is coming up and also double homework advances on its slow pace (although easier to update since no offline version (sadly)).

Because I have no confidence that it will be. I don't particularly mind delays to scheduling, I understand unseen problems can occur out of the blue, and I don't know how big or small your team is, but there's been no communication of when it's being released outside of you saying it will. Meanwhile your other games get released free near monthly, whilst DfD lags behind more each day. Is there a problem with Ch.19? Had it been forgotten due to the other games? Or is it a ploy to get people to pay for Patreon?
Point is, hearing nothing on Ch.19 for so long gets people thinking.
