I just post pngs here around 10mb like whatever.. I don't think I even use jpgs at all, it's png to webp for the game. That's why I hate discord.. to post there I'd have to convert them to jpg cause of the size. Annoying.I am rendering 4k images and if I save them as Tiff after postwork, they are large in size even when I save them in 1080. That last teaser render is 15mb in Tiff format and 1mb in Jpeg format. Should I put them up as jpeg's and not tiff whenever I upload?
I use JPG to upload. It's a compressed format, but nobody really needs all the other data, anyway.I am rendering 4k images and if I save them as Tiff after postwork, they are large in size even when I save them in 1080. Yea.. I don't think I could live with internet like that. I worked for a local ISP provider for few years so I'm living on that high end fiber here. If my porn started buffering midway I'd proly lose my shit.If you see the internet speed I have you will be shocked. It's also about my ability to upload. Uploading 100s of mbs of pics will be hard for me but possible. Besides Jpeg probably retain a decent amount of quality.

Look at that awesome speed. XD That's the average I get.
This is download so imagine how uploading is.
It took me a whole day to upload to Slushe when I first made an account. Another day for Patreon.
in you're middle render the girl seems to have sunk through the floor if you look in the mirror. I'd try to adjust for that (It's hard to keep mirrors in mind when posing since they don't reflect until you put it in Iray). If you want to use the images for a game I suggest to keep the lower third free if you want to place a textbox over it. (I try and forget all the time)What about these?

webp is the best for VN. It's lossless format, it's usually under 1mb file size and works in ren'pyI think JPG is the best for VNs

Yeah, they are slightly stylized. Their heads and eyes are too big for their bodies. They all have a toon morph mixed in. Maybe I went too far with the second girl. You mean the short one, the second from the left, correct? The head on the second girl looks a little bit off (maybe to big?) could be the ankle tho. other than that, they look very good, like some actual human beeings that don´t have the perfect model looks. I like them. the yellow backgroud bites my eyes tho. xD

I stopped reading at COVID happens. Picture looks good tho.Another one from a game I’m working on. Title right now is Locked In. The basic concept is that COVID happens while you’re at college and your best female friend (who is also your best friend’s girlfriend) gets stuck and has to stay with you during quarantine. I've got the first chapter written/coded and I’m just working on renders.
This is the main female character.

FWIW, the game won't actually mention COVID specifically. It's just set during a pandemic so that the main female character has to live with the MC… it also provides other plot points. But it’s not exactly about COVID.I stopped reading at COVID happens. Picture looks good tho.
Not bad but I'd go with larger eyes (Large eyes are something we are hardwired to find beautiful if I remember rightly). the girl second from left looks a bit angry/evil because of the really inward sloping brows.
It has pro's and cons. Because JPEG is a lossy format so you have more chance of (visible) artifacts. The amount the game will scale well is lessened (e.g. from a 1080 monitor to a 1440p monitor).I think JPG is the best for VNs
I don't have any cut and dry solutions but I wouldn't be surprised if many animations have a reasonably large file size. keeping it down will maske it easier to load. You could also experiment if a different file type works better than another. For me OGV seems to work quite well. I useMost vn's i played had a lag when they switched to animation from render. 1-2 sec freeze. Any workaround for that?
Hdri test renders since we talking too much and have fewer pics now.

I know its not good quality and very lackluster.
Style's more realistic, which is a change. There's vague hints of people I've seen walking around in the real world.
