The hair gets on my nerves too, I adjusted it to get rid of the black lines in the forehead, but there still seems to be some weird line where it begins to part. If anyone knows what it is and how to get rid of it, I would be very grateful!

Most Hairs have an auto-align feature build into their mesh points. But Some Hairs Especially OOT's older hairs need to be Manually Aligned. Even if you don't notice it in Textured Shades, you will see it in Iray and Def in renders.

You can see that your need to Manually Align by going to Smooth Shaded Mode and seeing the holes in the hair's Scalp, or Cap.

To Fix this is Simple, all you need to do is go to the hair's Actor Settings and under a tab usually named Adjustments or something along those lines, You will find Head Size. All you have to do is slide it up between 1-5 degrees until there are no holes in the Cap. Also make sure to check the back of the head so there aren't any bald spots. Once your entire head's Cap is one uniform shape, you can render without worry of Black Lines.

This particular version of Karma has seams all around the UV maps. it is easy to fix, but for their "All new Skinshader" with spectral render compatibility (for realism). They should have fixed it for their skins by default. It is just on setting nonetheless.
Yeah, me too. But I ran only a quick dForce simulation to get my frustration out of the system and finish this rant piece. For later iterations, I will probably test out if Mehsgrabber is the right tool for quick and more detailed folds. Otherwise, I have to go back to dForce magnets or simulation helpers.
