poor Nicole ... I think before she is 40 she must have back surgery ... first a bench ... now the wall, let's hope it doesn't fall ... I drank too much to catch it

This. Also postwork requires two sets of skills whereas most hobbyists, especially those who are new to CG such as myself, barely have the time to learn just one.Postwork can do a lot for you, but please don't make it a habit to say "I fix it in post". Postwork has its own limits, and it will never make a masterpiece out of a bad base render.
A very simple trick to get started is to make the render a bit to bright almost washed out so you can see all the detail you want then adjust the brightness and contrast in gimp or PS.This. an excellent use of Ron's brushes, if used well they are much more real and believable than the classic daz studio effectsA very simple trick to get started is to make the render a bit to bright almost washed out so you can see all the detail you want then adjust the brightness and contrast in gimp or PS.

really want to see the base render of that
I think you use the wrong render settings. Standard is not good for performance. There are a few tricks to speed this up. I have a GTX 750ti and most times I have to use CPU-render and I hate how long it takes to render in 1080p and tried everything to speed render up.View attachment 1290578
Low Res because of the shitload of time it takes to render 5 hours is ALOT for a test but wanted to see what you could do with it.
I wish I had the talent and a steady hand to pull that off, unfortunately my sister got all the art skills and I'm the tech nerd so I rely filters and adjustments, If I'm feeling brave I might whip out the heal tool haha.an excellent use of Ron's brushes, if used well they are much more real and believable than the classic daz studio effects
