I've been playing around with Idle animations in Daz, but they suck to create, and take forever to render. I just started using Adobe After Effects last week, and it makes it so much easier. This is two renders, one of the background, one for the character. I then used pins in After Effects to make a looping animation. All in all, only took a few minutes total to create and render. I'm still learning how to use After Effects, but I think I'll use this workflow for future idle animations. View attachment 2505368
If you have a good graphic card you can render like this...lower the max samples from several thousands to only 50,100,150,250 or 500 in your render settings>progressive rendering>Max Samples...test first the time per image render...if i need for example 20 frames or 255 frames i will choose more time for the 20 frames and less for the 255 frames...for example i used 150 max samples,22000 max time 5 rendering quality 98% rendering converged ratio for the animation of smoke over the camp fire below...the scene must be easy on consuming memory so a backdrop picture, a low on geometry ground some rocks and a fire...for the smoke i used parented instances...approximately 40-50 seconds per render 3840X2160 pixels frame on camera depth...it will take 170-212 min to render and if i had used 1920X1080 way faster...

On the actors renders i needed 51 frames and i used dome off ground off...(empty) scene only...shooting it with an FSL SET 01 camera and lights (less lights on) 3840X2160 frame on an image series rendering from 0-50 approximately 33min on png format...import them on photoshop 51 renders X 5 times equal 255 to match the other video group from smoke and background animation...convert the video frames to animation frames>select all>time=no delay>export video render...then on wondershare video editor for sound mix as a webm format and then handbrake to reduce more the size for web use!!
Hope you try and this helps... :)
