Good to know, thanks! It's not something I have honestly ever thought about (post versus prerender), but yeah, it is best to get your lights right in scene. For quick renders this is fine, but... good to know. I'll have to experiment some more now. :)
That camera headlight can also be used as a filler if you need it. Just have to play with the intensity and distance.

Yeah, for most quick renders I post, I often use it. But I move it around a lot, like you would a normal light (not the best solution, but for quick stuff in here, I don't care). Proper lights are definitely better and I should force myself to use them more often. I'll use a light emitting primitive to make shadow edges softer sometimes.

I think the last render I posted was lit with the headlamp. I moved it A LOT, in all three axis, way up, way to the right and into the scene quite a bit. It was just a quick render and the default lights were weak, so I turned it on and moved it around to create better shadows.

Hey everyone! I'm excited to introduce myself as a beginner 3D artist. I can't wait to show you all the amazing virtual girls I've been creating. I'll be introducing them one by one. I have to say that I don't have a powerful computer, in fact I render with the CPU, so I can't offer higher quality for now.

I will start with Sofia...
