i think it depends on what exposure value you use in rendering settings.
raise it and the lumen for the lights will be more correct
it would defeat the point, if you want an image to look like the human eye under a 60watt halogen or a 14 watt LED bulb, the real world is nothing like a samsung tv

Also turn off the camera head light. Although it is set by default on "auto" - working only if there is no lights - but I forgot to switch it off couple of times and it every time were working making the render bland bright.

There's an option in your render settings that turns it off all the time so you don't have to keep doing it.
