This may not be affecting your render times, but maybe it could be a factor. Most renders do not need to have light path lengths set to infinite. In Render Settings >> Optimization >> Max Path Length the default setting is -1 and that will contine to calculate the paths until DAZ thinks there is no more light to bounce. In most cases setting this value to a positive number will only allow the path to be calculated a finite length. I am supposing that when you use ghost lights that there are just too many paths to calculate and that is why your render may be taking so much longer.Well, this one took me six hours. I'm using a 3090, rendered in 2K at 99% convergence. I had three spots on the model, a fourth spotlight coming through the window, and a large overhead ghost light. Bloom filter on, max path length -1. Several reflective surfaces and the space behind the model is walled in with everything retextured from the way the asset came. I'd love to have someone tell me that it shouldn't have taken six hours, but I wasn't able to get a better result with different settings. View attachment 2922776

would love to hear your feedback working on a visual novel, find more images on myYou must be registered to see the links.
This is Daz generated and AI enhanced.
Is this something great, is it worth launching?

thank you

I've tried to reproduce the effect you have in your scene, or at least something similar.Does anyone know why I cant seem to use spotlights and ghost lights together? this has been going on for a while and I've just been lighting my scenes in other ways, but ghost lights are useful so I would like to get them working, This issue is with both SY Invisilights and Iray Ghost Light Kit One I will provide some images below which I hope will show my issue more clear than I can explain
Image one this is just one spotlight that I am basically faking the sun with for demonstration purposes, and the hdri in the background as you can see everything it working fine, the noise clears up relatively quickly and I've got some okay basic lighting going on

Image two this is with one ghost light on from the Iray Ghost Light Kit One kit usually I will perhaps put them near the windows to add a bit of more light to the room, as you can see the spotlight is now just a noisy mess especially compared to above image, If I render like this (I've tried) I'm looking at a very long render, I've also left it for a while to see if it clears up in the viewport, it don't

Image 3 basically same thing as above just with a different product, When I first purchased these products they seemed to work with spotlights fine, as far as I can remember, also I can add mesh lights or point lights and everything works just fine, it's just the spotlights, Oh and just to mention I am using spectral rendering here but the problem is the same with it on or off so that is not the issue. Maybe I'm just being thick and this is to be expected, but surely using ghost lights and spotlight together shouldn't result in this noisy mess and massive increase in render time?

The first thing I saw, it's the AI enhancement on your work.Well most AI porn is shit, it sucks and it's pretty stupid, I am trying to build a different type of content, along with an Expert Daz artist. I am trying to make highly detailed and almost realistic porn, it's a complex combination of actions to get from a render to a AI image.
I am trying to test the market and see if people would love the style vs regular 3DCG.
What's your bias against AI work? I hate what's out there today as well, pretty much what AI is good at, a single portrait of a expressionless person with really bad hands and feet
I'd like to see the event when he got a success with one of those chicks at least.
it’s the same chick different hair styles and both scenes will be part of the first release.I'd like to see the event when he got a success with one of those chicks at least.
