yeah you are right about that, sometimes I do in fact use spotrender to fix stuff (if its an important render), but since I don´t have that happening to often because I have an eye on that (it only happens if I am to tired lol) I don´t use it that much. Sometimes I just forget about it and do the render again or sometimes I just trash the render in the bin and don`t do it again. It all depends on the importance of the render.That happens sometimes, and it has nothing to do with the machine you're using, it simply doesn't always work, but don't trash every single render because of that. It saved me a lot of rendering time.
Just a few days ago I had a render that took 2 hours to finish and I had to fix a little spot, it took about a minute with the spot render.
If it is something you need for your game, then ofc. the best solution is to try to fix the problem with the spotrender. I`m just not to big of a fan of that feature since it has the quality differences and I'm still a noob anyways. Long story short, you are right, I should use spotrender first to try to fix if something like that happens, my lazyness cost even more time in the end if I don´t try it at least first.
