I like them both but I think in maou-sama it is harder to follow the story because a lot of the stuff in the beginning appears to not make sense. It takes a while until all the dots start connecting and things start making sense.
That's a design flaw, because if the start doesn't entice people, you can't expect them to stay and keep playing.

When you play the whole thing it makes sense but yeah I agree that it makes it harder for people to get into the game.
How long do I need to keep playing for it to get good and not just be about sex? Sex is nice, but only when there is a good story enveloping it, if I just wanted to see sex scenes, I'd just go to PornHub.

I haven't played that game from the beginning in a while but I think that by the end of the first week things start to make a lot more sense.

That takes way too long, why would anyone stick around for that long if the rest of the first week is not that enjoyable? How optimistic can people be?

I mean it depends on your definition of enjoyable. Personally I like fantasy games so I was intrigued with where the story would go, so I stuck around and kept playing it. And the fact that it's an adult game with a lot of lewd content also helped :LUL:

I like fantasy games too, but everything was so chaotic and rushed at the beginning that I literally couldn't get into it.
