Does the game need an ending now though? How about a bunch more sex scenes, particularly some 3-ways with the twins, and maybe some more zombie killing. If Ruykiru feels inspired to attempt that, I for one would be more than happy. Plus he's got the models and could do it during his downtime from Sinful Summer. Let's not pressure him on trying to come up with a coherent ending for DMS because the game's plot with the supernatural stuff is basically a total mess at this point.We don't know if the dev is alive or dead...
At this stage, unless he returns to Patreon with some kind of announcement, this AVN will not get the ending the original dev intended.
It is possible that a co-dev (Ruykiru) could try to give this AVN an ending but he does not have access to all the resources of the dev.
He already has his own AVN that he is working on/has commitments to his $ supporters to keep.
I can't speak to all of what might change, just that there would be model changes, among other things, if he decides to give Deadmoon Survival an ending.

I'd leave it to Ruykiru to decide how to tackle this.
I don't know his preferences but what you are asking for seems more open ended and without closure.
I also don't know what he knows/does not know about the broader story/supernatural elements of DS/the intended ending - it could be that he has the roadmap, story-wise, from Hot Tomato.
I'll leave it to him on how to best honor the legacy of Deadmoon Survival.
