Holy Shit, i remember playing the Demo that got released on the Blog ages back...wonder what ever happened to that game. Probably never got a proper release, either.
I was wondering what happened to Dark Parasite too, then I googled it, then I saw it was on the LoK forum... and then I knew its fate :(

Unfortunate.

Either this guy is really unlucky af or full of bullshit.

Despite that, i don't really get the "don't want do fund DB Guilty Raid with Patreon Money" Part tbh.

Oh well. I really hope things get better, because Guilty Raid and the Death Blight RPG have huge potential.

Couldn't care less about the webcomic though.

No joke though. It's always something with these fuckin' guys. Plus, 47,000 USD? Doesn't matter how you slice it, you CANNOT justify spending that much on the development of this product. He's either lying or he has NO concept whatsoever of the value of money.

"[Guilty Raid] is now "stuck" and I can't exactly say when it will be continued. My own work lays with community management, the webcomics, team leading and several other things like Deathblight RPG etc. ..."

Does that mean Deathblight, the superior game, is actually gonna get an update soon? Probably not, given their track record, but it would be neat if it actually did, yeah?

By the way, I didn't notice this until now, but Guilty Raid is fucking broken in its current state. The levels appear to be randomly generated to a degree, but most of the time, the level will spawn a fucking exit RIGHT NEXT TO YOU. No joke, you can just exit the level immediately and it counts as a completion. Pathetic work.

I call complete bullshit. 47,000 USD doesn't make much sense for what we've gotten so far, and it sounds even more BS when they're saying none of it was funded by the Patreon. Let's be real here, we all know a good portion of that DID come from the Patreon and they made sure to mention it wasn't to avoid people thinking they're money went to waste. Why can't they just start a second Patreon for Guilty Raid and hire another dev, since it's pretty clear by their post that they're the one funding and in lead of everything. Creating a Petreon solely for Guilty Raid with a new programmer would then hold then liable to community judgement when they eventually stop updating it or drop it completely. This is like their 4th canned game. They already promised to continue working on the long halted Deathblight Apocalypse instead of Deathblight RPG. Their track record is absolute garbage.

the only ones i can understand the payment for are the artists because.. well its a 10/10 (getting around 4000$ is definilty a enough), the rest of this game shouldn't even take this long to develop.. and this is coming from a simple programer/ game developer.. although it will be interesting to see what comes out first, this or yandere simulator..

Check their blogspot

They explained everything in the latest post although I'm sure many of us will be far too skeptical to believe it. Imo, I only want to see this game completed because the art and the gameplay is fun enough (well one of the rare game that you can find) so I suggest that all of us that have the same mind join their discord and try to give support or help in programming preferably ( NOT FINANCIALLY ). Guilty or not of "deceiving" their patrons, we can discern that by ourselves once we get to know them better, and if somehow this game complete, doesn't that mean we have some "added values" of a community not just a community full of perverts:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I knew they cancelled Guilty Raid, but now RPG too? I mean ... there goes another Devteam that looked promising and gave up I guess?

And honestly all things considered, both Guilty Raid and RPG now just sound like "yeah we don't wanna work on a game anymore we just stick to the comics". I mean, 50k is a made up number I think we can agree on that, but I think a big amount of work on the game was outsourced so cancelling that was probably a descision of "we want to keep things inhouse", which I can understand. The RPG though, yeah. The patreon thing is a blatant lie. The removal of all porn-related things on their Patreon should have no impact on the game. The game was solely meant to be an extra side-project as a reward for backers. (Including Patreon AND subscribestar) So there was effectively no loss of money there on that front, since all funds that came into RPG were all taken from the webcomics to begin with and they are still working on those.

eh
Guy had to hire a programmer for a RPGmaker game
then had issue with said programmer, who was paid regardless of his work

The already moved to subscribestar, for all the good it did them. (Currently 1469$ per month)

Either really dumb or the whole story is bullshit and this is an easy excuse to answer for what happened to all the money.

Also, his reason for not coding the rest of the game himself was that he was already coding on RPG which took quite a bit of time, but now that RPG is also cancelled, what's the excuse?
