A new version of SR24 (0.2.2) is in post #2230 below.
Some new content for SR24, main addition is including male bots (no gay content). Pretty sure this won't interest some of you and may turn off some of you entirely. If so, sorry. This was actually a little harder than I thought it would be. Too many places (including stuff from squirrel mods!) assumed all bots are female. In the readme there are hints for updating mission or BBS mods to avoid male bots. Thank you PhoenixDagger for testing the Windows version and Lughir for testing the Mac version. Also, thank you Radnor for helping me fix the bugs they found during testing! Maybe this one will be more solid than the last version!

Mac:
Android:
(Maybe next time for 'pastebin')

alternatively just make a genderless bot, and it's only purpose is being more effective in non-sexual activities like combat

While I think it's a good idea, doesn't that go against the... well, SEX CHOP SHOP idea?

People just going and outright buying combat-only models from sexbot shops feels weird, ngl.

I never thought of a gender-less bot. I guess you could put "none" in the "gender" attribute but since it wouldn't say either "female" or "male" it wouldn't be able to do many things. Of course you could also make mods specifying the gender "none" to give it things to do! To be honest I was expecting someone wanting to make futa bots rather than gender-less. Same thing applies, you can do it but you also have to make mods to give "futa" bots things to do. Another idea is to assign "female" or "male" but don't put the parts on the bot. Never tried it but it should work. I have no plans to do any of these things but that's what mods are for if you want to go for it! :) If you try and have problems I will make a reasonable effort to help out but no guarantees. Cheers!

It's been a while since I checked out this game and, man, all the modders have really stepped up, haha.
Is there any large gameplay mods to the game? If so, what would you folks recommend?

What does a person have to install to play the latest modded version- also why not make a whole new thread with the game there with (Modded) in it.

The SR24 game a few posts back is a variant I'm making as a hobby. Full explanation in the readme file. Most mods made for DSCS also work in SR24. It includes the mods I wrote for DSCS but not mods written by anyone else. I don't think any one will ever create a package of DSCS plus mods as you're asking. Lots of work with no reward. Maybe SR24 will get it's own thread some day but for now it's here.

My SR24 variant has more game play than DSCS because it includes the mods I made and it also works with most DSCS mods. Check out the readme for a full explanation.

Is old mods from the original game supported?
Is there a discord we can join to see / download mods?
Specifically the old 3d porn assets etc

Is old mods from the original game supported? Yes although a couple were updated and you need the new versions. See Discord.
Is there a discord we can join to see / download mods? Yes, the same Discord as the original game. There is a link on the startup screen in both DSCS and SR24.
Specifically the old 3d porn assets etc Most are still available here on F95Zone. The 'Mods', post #169 of this thread, is updated pretty regularly. Not everyone keeps their links alive so some don't work. If you have mods you downloaded before in most cases you can use them 'as is'.
One more comment, if you are mainly after bot mods with interesting porn assets then SR24 will not make much difference for you. The new bots and images in SR24 are not great porn and there are no animations. I'm an amateur in both programming and graphics. SR24 will be fun if you like the game play in DSCS and would like to have a reason to continue playing. When DSCS development stopped there was only one goal; pay off your debt. Once you accomplish this there is no longer any purpose. You can play as long as you like and make lots of money but that's about it.

Back after trying SR24. It was great to see someone had stepped up to work on Radnor's game. I've only just cleared the debt and just started the Mob Protection quest line. Excited to see what comes next. Cheers!

Just started the Mob Protection quest, made a bot seemingly just as they asked but not getting the prompt to turn it in whatsoever. I can't even say I'm too thrilled about the quest in the first place, is there a way to fix/remove it?

If you're playing SR24 it cannot be removed. If you are playing DSCS you can remove the mod BUT you have to start a new game or resume a game that was saved BEFORE you added the mod. I'm sorry you don't like the quest. As I said in the readme, I know some people will prefer DSCS and that's OK.

If you want to give it another chance here are possible reasons you think it's broken: the bot is not 100% Integrity, the bot is not 100% Psychocore Stable, you have the bot marked "do not sell", the bot rating is too low, some parts in the bot are rated too low, the skill is wrong (combat when you need sex or vice versa). If you assigned the bot a role or sent it on a mission the integrity and/or stability may have been reduced. It's safer to put the bot in storage until the mob shows up so it remains at 100% integrity and stability. Remember you can check the Journal at any time to see exactly what bot is needed next.

Your complaint gives me the idea to add some way to check bots to see if they would satisfy the mob. I'll give that a shot in the next release but that won't help you now. :(

Good idea! To be able to check the bot that you have and make sure that it would match the Mob requirements.

I really need to work on my version of DSCS :ROFLMAO:
