There is a lot of belly aching about the game and how its not EXACTLY catering to their own personal fetish and its all really tiring.
For the past eight years, the principal demographic doing that has been pregnancy fetishists. Just saying.
You cant look at a discussion of the game anywhere without a bunch of crying about how the player shouldnt have love interests and how they are RUINING the game for spending so much time on them.
That REALLY has not been my experience. I was there when Robin was first introduced, and the character was almost universally adored. In fact, scroll up. What is the most recent post that you can find in this enormous and venerable thread where someone is crying that there should be no waifus? Maybe a hundred pages ago you will find someone who didn't want Sydney or Alex. Maybe.
Then in the next post down they gnash their teeth about how they are wasting their time making ANOTHER skill instead of fleshing out the NPCs more.
Yeah, that one I do see now and then.
The truth of the matter is porn games like this one with a single main dev and a lot of collaborators generally die in the same way. The collaborators/community piss off the main dev so much he fucking quits and the game dies. Looking at you free cities.
Or the dev gets a bunch of yes-men collaborators who don't do anything that isn't his own personal fetish for years while collecting patreon bucks for allowing people the privilege of adding their own work to the game. Looking at you, Corruption of Champions.
You cant cater to everyones fetish. It is an impossible task. It wont stop a bunch of entitled assholes from trying to dictate how a game should be their super special fetish simulator and how everyone else is WRONG for not liking what they do.

Is that what is actually happening? You seem to have some insider insight. Devs are leaving, because they don't want to spend six-plus months coding one particular fetish that isn't theirs? It is honestly difficult to blame them for not wanting to spend their free time doing free work on a project that does not interest them. Really, how long did you think that non-pregnancy fetishists were going to be content working on pregnancy?
Beyond pregnancy 1.0, 2.0, and whatever other editions have to be released to flesh it out, will there be any room in the game left to put any more stuff in? DoL is in desperate need of going to beta. It was even before the pregnancy mechanic. There is nothing else left to hope as far as new content for from the game until it has been radically simplified.
But on the other hand the fact is if your getting your info from fucking 4chan of all places so its not likely to be very reliable anyway. It is the website that hosts /pol/ and its unhinged posting base that claims hitler did nothing wrong unironcally and the good old vaccine heart stopping microchip idiocy.
Lel, do you know where Vrel started working on this game? I remember back when it was only one encounter he was posting it on a place called 8chan. Ever hear of it? It got shut down for being a breeding ground for mass shooters. You are right, though, that we shouldn't believe anything that comes from 4chan. Where are you getting your information from?
Unless you have some direct from the horses mouth info about how its all crumbling down that isnt going to boil down to whining because they didnt devote an entire year of dev time to someones most favorite waifu its best to just not spread rumors.
