Technically there is a way to get rid of Bailey but only in DOLPlus, and it's pretty much just: "Get rich and deposit debt payment to X amount" ― where I deposited enough so that Bailey fucks off for like an entire year, with Robin's part of the debt included!
It's just so much grinding. Sub-optimally I finished that grind in like 4 IRL days.
Setup farms, fertilize crops, harvest only mysterious plants and then sell it to the factory―buying farm upgrades and factory upgrades whenever you can. ―Definitely auto-irrigate each of the crops as it makes your life much easier, buy a tractor to make planting much faster, and maybe listen to a fun podcast while doing all this grinding.
Otherwise I see why there's still no "Remove Bailey" option, cause Bailey's still a central figure in the story and getting rid of them removes a big part of the conflict―bringing down interest.
And the game did become a lot less interesting when I don't see his mug around. If I build up enough positive reputation to where nobody messes with me? I'm effectively a normal citizen! I just get to live in this weird town that gets touchy with everyone else―apart from a few certain figures―with the main point being that if I want things to get interesting?
I gotta bash a hammer into my PC's skull and tell them: "You gotta start fucking around man, you're too untouchable for this world."
