Bitcoin is not a currency it is a speculative commodity. A volatile one at that. The transaction fees and times alone are enough to render it basically useless for anything that is actually a common use case because unless you pay extra to skip the queue of transactions the amount of time it takes to process one often times drastically changes the value of the currency. Its like going to a store and picking up something on the shelf for $5 only for it to cost $3 when you get to checkout but finally costing $7 when the payment clears. Not to mention the ever looming threat that the bubble pops and its all useless tomorrow.

It is an absolute last resort because literally any other option is better.

Musk will never do anything that is actually good for users or people in general. I mean hes the most famous "free speech absolutist" and he has been running around twitter trying to turn it into an echochamber and banning people for saying shit he doesnt like. Even if he does make a payment processor its likely going to be even more policed than what we already have.
I don't think Bitcoin is even a "resort" at all, unless you are an active Bitcoin farmer yourself.
It has no bases, no accountability, no stability, like, at all. Not to mention all the hoops regular people need to jump over to use it, and the massive outlaw security risk.
And I think the others "X" meant "a new unknown entry", Not "X" as twitter. Not sure why you even default "X" onto Elon.
Although I wish the game had more active gameplay instead of just passively accepting things—for example, gradually unlocking actions that give the player more agency as skills improve, which would add a strong sense of story and RPG flavor—aside from that, I think this game is really well made.

I also hope the developer will continue their great work.
IMO that's probably impossible unless the game is rebuilt from ground up, with better progression / action implementation in mind (And probably a better engine). The best example I can think of is LonaRPG.
DoL is just already too big to do such dramatic change. (DoL2 maybe)
And it's funny so many cry for a "3rd position", as if it would improve the game-play in any meaningful way.

The "new survey" link still links to a survey from 2023 btw.

I figured it out after it was asking about 0.3 stuff.

Compared to the drivel most NSFW games are DoL gameplay is absolutely stellar. I am sure everyone here would be interested to hear how you would "improve" the gameplay. Or maybe the game is just not for you.
I do agree but DoL is 90% its customization and the rest is pretty bare-bones. It's just everything is a case of getting raped by strangers and not really anything beyond that. Something to spice it up where it isn't just "someone pushes you to the ground, rips off your clothes, then violates you" would be an improvement. I liked Course of Temptation's way because it has a similar sex thing, but you do get "regulars". Likewise Lilith's Throne has great sex stuff and tries to spice it up.

the improvements over the core gameplay loop have been piling up over the time, glued together with dirt and duct tape on top of itself, and now not a single person knows how it works or even why it works. and that's just the code side. there's ~4700 sprites split over 2 sex positions, good luck adding a third one. it's too big and convoluted. the snow and rain systems are child's play in comparison, it takes way less work to add to them or replace them from scratch, therefore it's getting done.
Yea I figured it was akin to "90s C++ codebase showing its age", it does feel like all the outfits made it worse in the sense that to make a better scalable system, all that work would need to be re-done.

i feel this. im waiting on new positions, dick swaying in rythym to sex, and other body parts jiggling etc. sucks that for years theres maybe less than five sex positions overall.
Yea same this is similar to what I was saying, I've tried playing it over the years but it reduces down to seeing what new clothes were added.

You know, it would be better if you actually gave some suggestions in your posts instead of just taking the shit out of your ass and sending it here via fax machine. That's just my opinion though.
Calm down, all I'm saying is that the game is having a problem of adding random shit rather than considering if it actually benefits the game or not. It's the same problem "The sissy girlfriend experiment" had where they half-arsed the story/gameplay loop because they got bored, then proceeded to add random BS like being a wizard or something (last I remember).

First of all, 200 words isn't really that much. You're just lazy.

Second, the two sentences you posted here are the shittiest review I've ever seen. It's generic as hell and says nothing at all. You could apply your "review" to most of the games found here, and I'm glad F95 doesn't allow such crap.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Bet you also use ChatGPT to write your school essays.:KEK:
I mean on a systems level, most people don't want to waste time on mid or bad games unless it pisses them off, so reviews basically lean towards a system where you have to know how to translate what a sycophant/fanboy would say just to find out if it's good. I've seen games that are at best mid, but because nobody but the obsessed want's to write 200 words for it, all you have left are people glazing it like it's a bukkake

Painful part of seeing a big new update is that fixes are coming in so fast it's best to just wait. And then I gotta wait for Dol+ too, sigh.
This "Payment Processor"-debacle, will likely blow over when governments (hopefully) stops them from having a bias...
(or when X creates a competitor)
The idea that musk will solve this problem is so patently ridiculous that I just assumed this guy was just using X as a stand in for blank. And no, this shit is 100% here to stay. Tech bros are not the solution to this problem, they are the problem. Just look up Palantir, can probably blame them for half of this.

It leans the other way too. If making reviews is too easy, then it can get brigaded for the stupidest reasons. Downvote all NTR! Too many lesbians! Gallery isn't unlocked! Raaape! Futas! ETC!

There are a lot of volatile topics that could cause someone to give an automatic 1 star without even playing the game. At least requiring a word count provides some level of quality control.

Oh come on, you guys know that the best reviews to follow are those that say stuff like "I really enjoyed playing Degree of Lewdity and spent xx hours on this game but I don't like being the one getting raped so I have to give this game 1/5 stars" like those Steam reviews.

On a more relevant topic though, I've become too dependent on DoLP over actual DoL to the point where some things I started thinking is 'vanilla' was, in fact, not. I guess I'll have to leave playing any further until a month or so later, like how it always happens to me when it comes to Rimworld and mods, because that wanting feeling of DoLP features will otherwise keep hounding me like the Ivory Wrath.

I recommend you stick with DoL as it's one of a kind and one of the best games around. Just make some basic goals for starters like paying Bailey, going to school, and not ending up in a mental asylum.

But if you want something somewhat similar but simpler try Tomie Wants to Get Married

What is the point of the kitchen? I made an omelette and I can't even eat it. I was hoping it was the key to removing fatigue since sleeping for 8 hours only removes 1/3 of the fatigue bar thanks to the annoying insomnia trait I somehow started the game with.

It's an infinite sandbox. You explore the world, meet the various characters, and little by little pursue relationships with the ones you're most interested in, specifically those that get labeled as primary relationships in the social tab. But the game continues even if you complete all of their available content. There's exploring to do, jobs to take, secrets to uncover, things to collect, transformations to obtain...

What I most recommend is trial and error. Save the game where you are now or start anew. First, you probably want to get some money on your hands in order to be able to test things out. For that I recommend going to the beach right away, changing into your swimming clothes, going for a swim, swimming to the rocks, diving into the pool and just going all the way down to the end where you'll discover a precious item. Enter the cave then leave so that you won't have trouble surfacing. Swim back to shore, change back to your normal clothes and sell it at the museum during the weekend, located at the school.

With your starting funds secured you can save the game again and just repeat a bunch of events with various characters or focus on exploration, take jobs, see how things unfold, what the various prerequisites are, and so on and so forth... basically, you figure out a good routine that will net you sufficient weekly income to fend off Bailey and grow and prosper while you're at it. Simply reload once you're done testing things out if you like the methodical approach.

I think food is for gifting to others. Though that would be a good idea.

Saw someone talking about this dev being banned from SS in another thread. Has the dev heard anything back from them yet? I was reading a bit of the thread and correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like the dev might be from the UK. So if that is the case it is very possible that the ban has something to do with the online safety act. Looking at the tags of the game I and considering the types of games I've seen on SS, I don't really see a reason for subscribestar to target this game in particular.

Wasn't the same guy but in that case fair enough lol, I thought reviews needed a small paragraph, 200 chars is nothing
