I'm running RTX 3080 and had game craching as well on v14 (on v8-11 versions never happened before), happened I think at least 3 times. In my case, after playing for over an hour windows just randomly blue screen and throw "clock watchdog timeout". Didn't bother before to figure out why that happens as after restart everything seems to work just fine and I couldn't find in Win event viewer what caused the crash...

Could be also worth doing a stress test on the cpu to see if it crashes, or reinstalling windows about 2 times a year is a good idea in general imo.

yes, that's right, the 12th was v4.26 UE, the 14th became v5.1 UE

I have already collected 2 maximum rifles without using cheats, unlocked all customization improvements, collected 3 sets of scrap/ranger/corporate clothing... and there's nothing else to do in the game. This is all at the maximum difficulty of the game))) who says there that the game is difficult? weaklings, this game is too tough for you. A lot of glitches in the game have been noticed, it is necessary to polish.

The only hard part of the game is the RNG, bugs, and visibility. The gunplay is easy if you have played any shooter in the past five years.

Man, I would not able to tell if this is 4 or 5. It feel the same like other Unreal 4 game if I not digging deeper but by playing only
look and graphic and stuff but I guess 5 lighting are pretty good here.

4 doesn't have Lumen. Plus, they only *just* switched to 5, so they are still learning the ropes for the new tools it offers.

You shouldn't have to reinstall windows ever, unless you have bad sectors on a HDD. Unless of course modern Windows is a piece of shit and is so broken and unusable that it does require reinstalling periodically. I run Win 8.1, and actively avoided getting Win 10 for its broken patch routine. I take it Win 11 isn't much better?

you don't need to reinstall windows 10 or 11 either, it's just good practice to keep things clean if you don't like digging through files yourself. I've been running a W10 install for 4 years

This is true. I used to reinstall winXP every 6 months just as you described. I've been running the same installation of Win 10 pretty much since the 1070GTX came out tho because it doesn't have the issues win xp did. I still use that 1070GTX lol

Is the archive a .rar file? If so, you might have too old a version of WinRar on your machine to de-pack it.

Hey guys, srsly.. is unreal better than unity?

I want to make a game, but I keep hearing unity is worse than unreal.. and I don't understand why ppl say that.. it's kind of like the blender vs 'any expensive program'(maya for example)

I do know that unreal has the blueprint thing now.. I guess that is kind of cool.. I do know programming sort of.. I started in C++ but then I used a bit of other ones including C#.. it's been a while since I did all that though, but C++ doesn't scare me or anything like that.. I just used Java and C# more in classes and stuff later.. and less C++, until I didn't use it much anymore..

well I'm curious if D-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N might even be able to tell me anything if not too busy..

Sry that I kinda late but I just come here to check if game got updated and saw this post.
For many games I played through. It totally about ur coding skills. Those EFT, Green Hell, Subnatica, Rust, The Forest series etc. are Unity games and what I see in common is that texture are like not high res even I saw on their Unity Game Developers Conference showcase unlike Unreal and lighting like u know it is Unity when u see it for me

Unreal I find that it more photo realistic and I think it more of if u want pro work big project or something this will do
Of course if u plan to make cartoony sprite actual 2D game Unreal and Unity can too but if u like plan to jumpscare people from 2D cartoon sexy sprite girl to hyper realistic 3D all of sudden then I would vote for Unreal.
example of game I found interest is
World War Z that Unreal game mange to render like over 1000 zeds was suprise me but I do notice zombie diff about them when they "swarm" they called was coming in. They act like water with some of them are actual zeds that hunt u. I think that how awesome skill in dev game like that are to able to create fake zeds like that wont destroy someone PC . They make it that they are like water. No special AI stuff to destroy 1 PC and all they can do is destroy certain thing.

Character model etc are playing big role cuz u seeing all the time but if gameplay good I guess that can be look over

but u can like go to diff style like these game from solo dev or indie team
Out Of Action (Legit solo dev and it loook good. His going for Cyberpunk Ghost in shell vibes and gameplay of QUAKE, Action something mod that playing like that, Ui look good too)

for porn game I saw with Unreal was Lifeplay with dev not artist but programmer soo game look cheap and other I forget there names but they got animal people breeding farm and another game is animal people in egypt style. Those I can play fine too but I got tired of running across the world to do this and go back 5 km on foot to that.

and last I want to say is that it all about your skills.
Once you good at coding the game you want you also have to learn art too. It will big butt pain if you want to draw sexy thicc stuff for 2D instead
but 3D
you will lost artistic value of them UNLESS you trickly play lighting effect stuff with them wish I rarely see any good game with character look good cuz lighting. I think that egypt game got some lighting but that more like cut scene for sex stuff

I played it now a bit longer...

++ clothing gets damaged
-- weapon gets damaged
- weapon get stuck
- getting staggered
- slow moving thought foliage
- shooting at longer range (nearly impossible to hit something because of spread)
+++ watching the belly grow (damn my absolute favorite feature) (the eggs should get a purpose)
++ animations
-- level design
-- AI sometimes sees you though obstacles and sometimes it does not see you in front of it
-- hard to survive if you get hit from multiple enemies
++ walking around an looting

My suggestion to the developer:

1. let only clothing gets damaged (damaged weapons are just annoying)
2. only money get stolen after rape
3. add a melee weapon
4. don't use white lights (looks to unrealistic)
5. add some sort of stealth meter (if there is one I did not notice it)
6. maybe at a marker to spottet enemies

When the eggs hatch in your belly, it too late, and you have to find the "hospital" (a big black box somewhere on the map)

Likely your antivirus flagged it and stopped the download at the end. I used to use Eset and it would do that if it didn't like the download. You might try disabling your AV and then downloading it.
