No, your joke was great, I even laughed out loud.i know, was just making a stupid joke. this game kinda sucks as a porn game, but pretty fun as a normal one

You better get used to that for a while. The dev said he isn't updating NSFW content until he releases the game on steam. We're talking about a year from now maybe, if not a little longer.i know, was just making a stupid joke. this game kinda sucks as a porn game, but pretty fun as a normal one
Year? That's pretty optimistic. You better get used to that for a while. The dev said he isn't updating NSFW content until he releases the game on steam. We're talking about a year from now maybe, if not a little longer.

The AI movement in this game is very weird and sporadic, they kind of zig-zag all over the place lol. Your post is a handy insight into how the game plays when not in hyper-defensive mode, which is how I approached it. I actually got shot within the first 10 seconds of play.. Right out of the gate I wanted to test the submission mechanic, I saw a scav and hit surrender, we got stuck in a dialogue loop and then he exited dialogue, shot me once then reinitiated which fixed the loop.Just revisited this game yesterday.
As someone who can't aim for shit, I only start a fight when I got absolute confidence I can oneshot my enemy without anyone noticing. When I have contraceptive pills to spare I get naked and whore myself for reps. When the faction reputation is somewhat high and roaming around in 3rd person perspective, the enemies get alerted by me but I've never been shot once. What I wanted to say is the combat is hard but it's largely skippable, or should I say cheesable.
Now the questions:
- I've been avoiding cyberwares because I cannot stand horror, even with the reduced psychosis cheat turned on the can still appear if I forgot to take my meds. Anyone knows exactly how the effects trigger?
- I'm somewhat shocked that the memory leak is still present in the latest build, went from 80fps to sub 30 in 2h, restarting the game mid raid doesn't seem to alleviate the issue(IIRC doing this removes all corpses from the visited levels), it only went away when I ended the raid and restart. I don't see ppl talking about this issue for a while, hoping this can be fixed soon.

It's not as random as you may think. The AI works in a defined path, usually to the nearest other enemy or piece of cover. If you're being shot at while surrendering it's because the AI thinks of you as a hostile force, thus neutralizing you before engaging. The AI movement in this game is very weird and sporadic, they kind of zig-zag all over the place lol. Anyone from a faction that's below 0.5 is usually an avoid for me. Below 0 and it's either kill or be killed. Also in the new Forest map you can get Corpo guns unlocked now.Biggest problem for me is figuring out who is out to get me. So far it seems like the guys who have growths all over them are the bad guys, but then other people try to rob me.. Made a bad name for myself in the scav community from shooting first and then not asking questions later. Also iced a corporate guy out of self-preservation.. he had a nice weapon that appears to be locked.
I've ran so many zero item perma runs to know that the best way to get up in the pecking order is to speedrun side tasks and use the Electric Impulse cyberware. It's usually only 200 Euros or so compared to a shitty scrap gun at 600+ when starting out.The game became a lot more enjoyable the moment I figured out how to craft a weapon. I started just under permadeath with bad loadout, which is just my shtick when it comes to games. Had a rough time until crafting my first weapon. I think the level design is complete ass, but I fell in love with weapon customization. He/they/them did an amazing job with that.
Go to a Med Station to get them removed. Also tentacles.Apparently I got impregnated by a ground worm thing, though my hud only tells me that I am 85% infested with worms. Have been carting these worms around for a week now. Can barely hear anything over the wriggling sound in my belly :S
i also did the whoring out to high rep, you can pretty much cheese the game as no human enemies will attack you (unless you shoot them first). i liked how you could use their clothes to pretend to be a part of the faction, but just whoring out makes it unnecessary. i do wish the dev would nerf it out, maybe take away the rep gain from whoring and only leave in the disguise system. will make it more viableJust revisited this game yesterday.

Oh lord, so that's what it is. Initially I thought the fps drop was a result of different weather patterns and or lighting/particle effect changes.- I'm somewhat shocked that the memory leak is still present in the latest build, went from 80fps to sub 30 in 2h, restarting the game mid raid doesn't seem to alleviate the issue(IIRC doing this removes all corpses from the visited levels), it only went away when I ended the raid and restart. Actually I'm not sure if it's memory leak anymore, as restarting the game should be able to fix it if that's the cause. The effect remained when I reload my mid-raid save so I can only assume that whatever is causing the performance issue is being saved into the savefile and only getting deleted when the raid ends. Memory leak on the other hand is released by the system after the game is closed.Oh lord, so that's what it is. I too drop a lot of frames if playing for longer than 1 hour. 110 down to 60 lol. Definitely weird having such a bad leak on such a modern engine.
If an enemy spots you, they will either grab you, shoot you, or run away from you.Appreciate the rundown of things. I've still yet to wrap my head around AI behaviour. If you camp in a bush and observe they will deviate from patrolling to sprinting off randomly. Sometimes they engage you first and will simply bugger off without any follow-through. What intrigues me more is their combat routine, which seems fairly nuanced. I actually like that they are speedy and weird with their movements. I also like the feign death or recovery mechanic.
Ahh, that's some good info. I think I must be around -80 scav rep. At that level I only see rep drops on probably 1/10 engagements with them. I'd say I'm not far off being a kill-on-sight prospect for them.
About the Permadeath mode. Is it possible to backup your existing game so you can make a new campaign? I wouldn't mind starting an Ironman run, but don't want to lose my current save. I feel like ironman wouldn't be that hard seeing as I have yet to die since equipping my first weapon.
I have yet to look, but I would like to configure it so that there is no auto-surrender function on the enemy side. I feel that robs the game of any true adversity. Times when I rightly should have died, I was shot to pieces but ultimately saved by submission/theft interactions.
Omg, Med station. It makes perfect sense lol. Much appreciated!
Educated guess it's still a memory leak. The game loads every single detail, every single map, every enemy dead or alive, every container, item, tentacle, and so much more shit all at once. My suggestion (from a non-dev's perspective) is to split up loading in chunks, taking parts of a map and loading it only when the player gets there. Then once a player goes into a different map, store the previous map's data in the save (or a separate save per map) and unload it, leaving space for the next map.Actually I'm not sure if it's memory leak anymore, as restarting the game should be able to fix it if that's the cause. Yeah, after some more thorough testing, what actually happens is the game drops half of its frames upon entering the Escape menu. I had thought it was due to play length, but I guess that just coincided with my pausing intervals.Actually I'm not sure if it's memory leak anymore, as restarting the game should be able to fix it if that's the cause. Yeah, rape is likely a more accurate description. I just don't like how that mechanic effectively nullifies most of the challenge of surviving as it is essentially guaranteed to save your life in an otherwise lethal situation. It's not an automatic submission, rather the enemy will just grab you. You're not submitting, in fact you are being raped.
Yeah I'm not sure how it works on your end, but for me it is a direct consequence of using the Escape menu. Refraining from that I keep all my fps. Came back from a long mission and everything is still fine and dandy.Actually I'm not sure if it's memory leak anymore, as restarting the game should be able to fix it if that's the cause. Pretty sure every dev gave that kind of statement marks that they are giving up and want to just put it on shelf somewhere, cash grab one wave of poor sod and dissappear. Had seen that pattern before. You better get used to that for a while. The dev said he isn't updating NSFW content until he releases the game on steam. It is definitely possible to die in this game. I can't tell you how many times I've died and had to restart saves/backups. It's just likelier to get grabbed than killed in most situations.Yeah, after some more thorough testing, what actually happens is the game drops half of its frames upon entering the Escape menu. I'm going to test this again to see how long it retains initial performance without using the pause menu.

Just thinking if there are more elegant solutions for that. My preference would be to have rape interaction on a defeat state only, governed by health threshold. Say at <5% HP you are vulnerable, with an independent setting for bad outcomes that would be linked with difficulty rating. Permadeath possibly defaulting to 25% mortality rate upon capture.
The game already has a pretty solid foundation for hardcore survival. But at the moment, surviving combat itself feels kind of weightless. Looking at Permadeath as a potentially more exciting experience now seems rather pointless as I really can't see myself dying.
