We really needed this update. Runs far better on my pc and finally i am able to play it on my laptop too. I didnt have time to do anything crazy, just testing some of the things but everything is better so far.
Just for shits and giggles I maxed everything out. Even turned on Lumen. Smooth 60. I'm running a 6600 XT with a 5500 on mismatched 2666 MHz (IDK if it is 2666 or 1333, shady Chinese RAM and all that mixing MT/s with MHz) 8GB sticks and it runs fine.

This has been the best update so far and I have renewed passion for the game. I should probably go to bed now.

Without a screenshot of which Fatal Error it is, I can't help you further. I've encountered over 20 different Fatal Errors with UE5 games, and each one required a different solution.
Id have to re-download the game again to find out. Is there anything extra on my computer I need before hand before I download and play this game?

the latest version just another waste of time milking the clueless sheeps, why make a tutorial that incorporates all the game mechanics which can easily be completed if u have the developer cheat...and when that is finished u are then thrown back to the same old hideout.. and making u grind the quest again to proceed with the same old same old crap LMAO, that wasted effort does nothing as that 1st quest experience when finished its over where is the sandbox game....

on surface it gives players hope but after playing it thru u realised WTF if he had concentrated on the main sandbox instead we would have a better playable game instead of just 1-2 hr of prologue giving u a backstory....

lets milk the sheeps giving them something that shows potential but does nothing to try move the alpha demo tech into beta....

my 2 cents..

Also, on a sidenote, this new tutorial sucks ass.
If you ain't a good FPS gamer already, this entire combat section is crap.
It's fucking dark, everything is red, I don't see shit and enemies are overwhelmingly powerful.

I player the V22.1 of this for quite a while and slowly got used to it.
But now, the "TUTORIAL" is more difficult then the "old game"

Don't like it.
Wasn't worth it.

lmao that is the whole point of the tutorial to introduce to u the sex part of the game, its done intentionally i.e. even having all the best weapons, cyber stuff its difficult not to get raped and to make donors pay for the developers cheat, its not hard to guess whats the tutorial is for, just a useless waste of time making it but hey at least time was spending making it haha, just to show that something is being done to keep the milk train going.....

Yeah, I figuered.
For my own shame, I was forced to turn down the difficulty quite a bit.
With the medium settings of "I will do this on my own", it felt impossible.

Anyways now, after a short while, I do enjoy the higher difficulty.
It's already more challenging then the older version.
As much, as I like to shit on this game...
...it kinda feels a bit better now.

Still, I fucking hate the "all-red-in-red" early morning in the dark atmosphere.
And the entire setup just is a example of a whole "TUTORIAL GONE WRONG".

Not that I hate the map, no, I kinda like it instead.
But THIS is just not a turorial by it's definition.

My man, the ennemies are the weakest they can be in that tutorial. Firstly, this is a hardcore FPS game like Tarkov, you cannot think it to be easy
And then, the tutorial litterally overgears you with every damage reducing cyberwares possible and against you are the weakest AI that have a 20 second reaction time before seeing you. Come On. saying the ennemies are "overwhelmingly difficult" is just funny, the only reason they'd be hard is their number because there are a SHIT ton for a tutorial ngl, i can agree with that.

However, i will say, Some zones are completely dark when you have no flashlight, the dark/red ambience is also hard to see anything and is hard on the eyes, those are true.
The tutorial is basically the same as the tutorial cards we had before but now with a few instructions and those same cards popping up on screen and a whole really long map. But the combat in the tutorial reaaaaally ain't supposed to be that difficult and if it is, good for you because you get to actually experience what death or the NSFW part of the game is, which i have not experienced when i did the tutorial. (I of course have a lot of hours under my belt but you are so overgeared in that tutorial that it shouldn't be unfair at all and even then, if it's too difficult for a rookie, just change difficulty then, the game is supposed to be difficult...)

About the "sneaking tutoral":

Took me about 30 minutes and about 10 times retrying to find the broken part of that one stupid wall.

As a fucking TUTORIAL, this entire map is a failure and heavily frustrating.
If he'd implement it as a later mission, I'd call it "alright", but as a TUTORIAL it sucks!

Finally had time to play the game for real, outside of validating crack by "get out of hideout, jump into a pool of tentacles, wait if something breaks besides character orifices". :HideThePain:

Tutorial is probably the first thing in this game's history that made it actually feel like a real game. IMO before it always felt like a sandbox where more maps, cyberware and shit were thrown into. But dev won't be dev if he didn' try to fuck it up a lot.

First, why the hell tutorial tries to make the player very uncomfortable? I understand this game tries to be "porn Tarkov", but what the hell with that red lighting on the level? Mix that with tons of dark places and I literally dropped it when entering lab underground. I did play City map before and it wasn't as unsettling as this shit.

Second, making NPCs extremely stupid is probably good, but dev made them literally retarded. Even if you wanted to delay shooting when enemy notices you, make it natural - bots literally stall for 30 seconds looking at you. I dunno, add some voice lines like "who are you, drop your weapons, this is the last warning" etc.

I remember at the start of this project dev stated he had prior game development experience. Probably that's true. But to develop a good game you have to be not only a good developer - you should also play lot's of other games too. To do something right you need examples to learn on other's mistakes and wins.

Dark areas are to encourage cyberware usage, NV, low light, flashlights and the like

The NPCS are incredibly stupid, this is coming from me who runs Hard/Perma everytime so maybe I just got used to good enemies but this really isn't that hard of a tutorial.

Voice line are a good idea because it gives you identifiers of when you get spotted, plus it just adds to the whole experience.

My number one request would be new guns. The faux AR platform is so stupid repetitive at this point.

Since I doubt I'm the only one with this issue, the v23 crack doesn't work if you just extract it into your game folder. There is a folder in the crack called "ue4ss", extract that to your binaries/win64 folder instead.

i know u are trying to be helpful, but at the every least try to say something useful and not this, when u extract the crack it extracts everything inside the crack to the deltazone directory which also includes all subdirectories ... there isnt any other zip files to extract....

just confusing ppl who cant get the crack to run, and one method to fix that is to delete the files in the user directory usually at C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Local\DeltaZone,

What did I say that was wrong? If you extract the crack into the game folder, it puts a folder called ue4ss into the binaries/win64 folder. Simply move all the stuff from the ue4ss folder into the win64 folder. It's not rocket science.

Also kinda disappointed with the tutorial. Went through all of it just for it to glitch at the end at the printing facility entrance with the door being shut and no way to open it.

There's a computer in the large hall right next to it.
You can hack it from there.

And the people complaining about stupid AI
If you play on "I'll find my own way" difficulty (or how it's called), they found me while hacking there twice and killed me as soon as I left the hall.

The game does have a horror aspect and i hope the dev does not push too far into that which it seems like he wants to. The lighting and such makes for good ambience, the game wouldn't be the same if lighting was cartooney, bright af with vibrant colors, but the game is a bit unsettling which is probably what the dev wanted. For an NSFW game though, he should be careful to not push this too much.

Idk about the "It's a real game now with this linear tutorial". Not every game should be a linear story experience. I have despised every single 3d porn game that tries to do this so i would hate this one singular unique experience to turn into the same shit. Though chances are slim, it feels more like the dev just wants to introduce story lines with npcs in the open world (Which is still annoying when you have to complete their stories for the 40 thousandth time),

so i really am okay with an open world semi-sandbox where content gets pushed into, that's what the game always was the problem is that the content is often just a map which is probably 50% of the content update and then other small stuff (Or big like the cyberwares, except that more than half of them are still in development and thus don't work....)
