I appreciate the oldschol RPG style choices during the raider quest, but in the end I was a little confused what the objective was supposed to be. At first I thought I had to try to appease Kyra, so she doesn't raze the settlement, but after playing through the quest twice to see all the options I realized that it wasn't actually that complicated. All the choices correspond to the fate of the individuals only, not the fate of the whole settlement or the raiders.
It's weird that all the things you decide for the settlers simply happen. Like, why would Kyra care about building a hut for a random dude and bringing tools and water pumps to the place she only wanted to pillage? The raiders aren't opposed to using a nugget person as a battering ram, but then suddenly play nice with the totally defenceless settlers.
I thought I had to get the settlers to work somehow to make the place more attractive to Kyra, but it turns out you can just be as good or bad to the them as you want, simply out of principle or for fun.
Also, this line from the changelog seems to not be true?
