I have noticed this game on the very start, but have ignored it cause i don't rly like clownish Mad Max style. But for some reason i've decided to give it a chance a few days ago. I didn't expect such a quality in overall - graphics, sound, plot, style and adequate mix of post apocalyptic settings a cut above almost of all similar projects.
On the one hand, I'm happy that I ignored the Desert Stalker for so long, cuz going through all the available content was enough for me for a few days. On the other hand regret that i did not come across the game only after the final version is released , because now I have to languish in anticipation of the next update.

Thats the curse of following porn games, especially those that are not finished yet. You blast through the content pretty quick and inevitably have to wait for like 4-5 months for an update that you'll clear in 15-20 minutes of playing. Thankfully Desert Stalker is being updated on pretty regular basis.

Yeah, Ivy story is most epic and boring...
Sorry, I'm a simple man, Just want some crazy "Madmax" fun with harem chill out times :HideThePain:
Ivy and co. were trying to do some good in their first base after the Apocalypse.
Decayed raped, killed and ate all her friends, not necessarily in that order.
If that's not Mad Max I don't know what it is.

A surprising choice of word; I never heard anyone call the Mad Max style clownish before. But you go on to praise that very style in DS, including the graphics and plot which are two things that are presented in the op. Just curious, at first glance, what specifically did you think was clownish about the project before you played?

I of course biased because it is my favourite game and has been for a while, but the op really drew me in at first viewing. Graphics looked inviting even at alpha release, plenty of hot women shown, description written in eloquent English instead of Cringe-lish, and the setting and story were so different from every other game on F95 that I had to give it a try. Glad I did.

Wow the choices is hard, save the elf kill the decayed but be a diplomatic after that. It will be nice if they are just some simple bad guy but no.. they have their own circumstances...

really, sounds like a hypocrite (me). Just hope i have an option to say to the people in the game "MY DICK DICTATES BEFORE MY BRAIN".

Mad Max's style with dyed hair and hairstyles for 200 bucks, it's funny to see hard survival people trying to look like punks and posers all the time. And ridiculously impractical masquerade, if worn in the desert, it's a quick way to get burned and die from the scorching sun. It is also not clear where the fuel keep coming from and so on. Mad Max is one of the funniest and most ridiculous representatives of the post-apocalyptic genre, which can't be taken seriously.

I'm not talking about the fact that modern concrete structures are so short-lived that any building if being abandoned would turn into dust in the next two hundred years. It's not the cement from which the colosseum was built, you know. Much stable and solid, but also much less long-term. The same incredible durability for metal structures, clothes and other things. But this is just a fantasy, so i'm nitpicking in vain about this.

Yeah, that's all totally True, not realistic at all, still very fun setting - not less believeable wasteland romantic for boys then any dead bloodsuckers romantic for girls)
At least it has style, some time ago I started watching TV show 'bout Z apocalypse (started long ago at the moment of 1ep), and it started with very clean and frash woman with carefully styled punk hair in stylish "survival clothes with gadgets" speaking with her family in safe heaven by satellite phone... with dialog something like "how are you doin' Bob? Did kids eaten their breakfeast? Ok I have much to do, survival u'know..." and ended watchin' this TV show.

Really? How many months for one update and how much content? My first time playing this game is from the latest release so I don't have a clue. Would you be kind enough to elaborate on this matter?

Desert Stalker has elaborated in-game Changelog ( just above the Quit button in the main menu ) so you can check it yourself when ( date ) a version is released and what it contains, since its first release. Based on that, you can form your own opinions.

How much time it takes to complete an update/version varies between players, so it is subjectives. While everyone has the same contents for every release but not everyone play or see all the contents depending on their choices, kinks, content filters etc. For example, if players did not unlock Raiders and/or Mutants factions, then their playthrough is gonna be very quick and much much less contents.

Most of what you are talking about relates to the movies and not the game. My question though was specifically about this project. It sounds like you judge MM movies to be clownish and assumed apoc game genre would be also and let that bleed over to your opinion of DS. It is good that you came around though.

There are a lot of sub-par games on F95, but this game is one I could quickly tell would be different. The op description can really tell you a lot about the not only the game, but the dev/writer as well. In some cases I think how description is written can predict more about the type of game quality than even the renders. Although I am on F95 for the lewds first, story second, a badly written story (and even description) can immediately kill my interest in a game. If both lewds and story are good then game likely earns high marks from me.

Not in the game? Lmao, let us end this discussion. Idk why did you cling to DS, cause i haven't mention it a single time and i think the comparison is most incorrect. You have to be really smart to draw parallels between them.

Most of what you describe is hand-waved on purpose to be honest. We tend to favor "interesting/fun" over "realistic" when it comes down to it, simply because this is meant to be a fun experience.
Sure, it would make more sense for people to wear full-body rundown sacks or whatever to be protected from the heat, but is it really that sexy to look at? Probably not.

Same goes for structures or cars or whatever. In reality maybe none of that should exist but I would argue that watching the MC dragging his feet over vast swathes of nothing for ages in lieu of having a means of transportation ("unrealistic" as it may be) is really not that interesting or engaging.
I understand that some things may make people eye-roll when it comes to some things that are not really plausible but a certain amount of suspension of disbelief is required going into such games.

And let's be honest, things that exist or happen in this game are not that much more far-fetched than the slew of games where the MC is the only male in the universe and every female has a pathological urge to ride his dick like a fucking carousel :KEK:

No shit, thanks, captain. It doesn't make mad max style less clownish.

Fun fuct, about 3 Mad Max movies on 4 are more or less about where will the fuel keep coming from, in some measure. And sites are shown where oil is still extracted and refined.

But is not so important afterall. Mad Max is so cool that cars could well run on pure coolness.

Light years above crap like The Walking Dead or any zombie apocalipse where survivors survive by barring doors and shooting handguns and the armies of the world which have tanks and aeronautics have been exterminated in the first 30 minutes of the story.

TRUTH!!!

I don't know how many times I've read the description of a new game which contained a multitude of spelling and grammatical errors, and at times had sentences that were undecipherable. If developers can't bother to write decent descriptions for what is basically an advertisement for their games, why would I think their game scripts would fare any better.

On the other hand, there are developers who say nothing about what their games are about (albeit in perfect English). I'm not going to mess with those games either, at least until reviews give me some picture of what is going on.

The comparison is because you originally stated you didn't want to try DS because you think Mad Max style is clownish
("I have...ignored it cause i don't rly like clownish Mad Max style"). That statement implies at least some comparison between DS and MM.
No need to be upset, not going for a gotcha moment. I was just curious about what specifically made you bypass DS until recently because this game seems far less inane than standard fare F95 plots and settings. Just interested in the thought process that's all. End result, you tried it and liked it, so we all arrived at the same destination, just via different routes. Some more direct than others. (y)

Indeed. Though I admit as a deviant I first look at the renders to see if they are good enough for my discerning tastes, but right after that I pore over the description with a critical eye. I have played enough games on this site to know the red flags.
